I don't know how many of you are familiar with the concept of Indigo Children. They are supposedly children that have come into the world with lots of soul knowledge that they can share with us all. I'm not sure that I believe in the concept, myself. I think, rather, that children are only now being listened to, even recorded, by their parents. I think children probably always had soul knowledge to share, just like animals do, but our Patriarchal society wasn't listening.

Anyway, I am not a vegan, but I do think this kid makes a valid argument for it.

Of course, the cynics among you could make a case for this lad being coached. But I make this same argument against war and capital punishment. That is, that we shouldn't be killing people, for no other reason than because they are people. And my little neice told me much the same thing as this kid the other day. She said, she would rather not eat animals if it means they have to die. Also, she said she isn't planning to die herself, at all. So there.

EDIT TO SAY: Whoops! It is hard to see the translations into English. Move your mouse off the video, or watch on YouTube if it is hard to see.

On a day like today, it is tempting to think that people suck and the world is a terribly dangerous place. But what truly sucks is this omnipresent coverage by the news media sources. There are a thousand stories not being reported today, because they are never reported. The Millennium Goals of 2000, for example, made by the UN to help developing countries should be making news. Revel in the 5000 children a day (YES! A DAY!) saved from dying this last year in Africa thanks to these development goals being met and check out how to save the world with your own grassroot activism...

Shamanism teaches us that God is in everything and is communicating with us on a continual basis. But you shouldn't just be on the lookout for animal encounters. Sometimes, you encounter the right person at the right time, too. For example, 7 year old Jake ran into 70 year old Bill as Jake was on his way to the hospital to have his right leg amputated. Bill was the perfect spirit guide for Jake, because Bill had lost his own right leg earlier that year.

...celebrating the life and works of the wonderful Douglas Adams, author of (do I really need to tell any of you?) The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy a sci-fi story that brought us many, many uses for the towel. You might remember me referencing it in a certain Disheveled sex scene.

And to celebrate...let's see if you can give me some unorthodox uses for your towel. I'm going to use mine to sop up and save the spilled champagne from xlostangelx, gigglesthebloody and Milieva's birthday parties.

And here is a totally NOT WORK SAFE music video "Get Your Towels Ready" by LJ User Decor Noctis. It is a mix of Lonely Island's "I'm On a Boat" and The Pirates of the Caribbean movies. There's no sex in this one, but the language is shocking enough to bring your boss over to your desk.

"Get your towel ready! It's about to go down!" as the song says...Read more... )

I never don't LOL at this one. And I know there are tons of vids using this same format. But this one is extra special.

My buddy, [livejournal.com profile] thisficklemob linked me to this video that is making the rounds of LJ. It is a beautiful vid highlighting the Doctor/Rose love story. Watching it just made me want to break out my DVDs and wallow in a marathon session of Rose/Doctor love.
