A lovely Doctor/Rose Vid...no 10.5 at all. YAY!

My buddy, thisficklemob linked me to this video that is making the rounds of LJ. It is a beautiful vid highlighting the Doctor/Rose love story. Watching it just made me want to break out my DVDs and wallow in a marathon session of Rose/Doctor love.

The emotional depth just leaks out of this video. That's what's missing in new Who. And it is largely because RTD sold out his power couple...or didn't understand them. It wouldn't even be so bad to have shallow Doctor now if we knew he was capable of so much more. But sadly, Matt and Moff have showed us that Brown Ten was lacking a big part of what made him likable...and one can only assume he left that part with Blue Ten.

I do believe future writers will reunite the parts of the Doctor somehow. I hope they do it by honoring Rose and all she meant to him and to the audience.

Is it wrong to wish my boyfriend would hug me like the Doctor hugs Rose? Granted, we NEVER get into any danger or life-threatening situations, but it'd still be nice. I hug him like Rose hugs the Doctor every day he comes home from work! *whine*

That. Was. GORGEOUS. I am torn between laughing and crying my heart out because awwwwwwwww IT'S MY DOCTOR AND ROSE. I swear no one in the history of television will be able to match them, ever. They're just so... :;sigh:: Stuff of legends, for sure.

This is one of my favorite videos, I saw it a while back and loved it so much for everything you already said. I just love how MissCynthia17 actually had the actors telling YOU about what the story was...(and people still try to deny it...absurd).

It is bizarre that people deny Rose Tyler as the love of the Doctor's life. I mean, he was caught at a vulnerable time and she was a very giving person. Again, I really blame RTD for backing down from his quite obvious position on the Doctor and Rose. Even though, I am sure Rose still holds a very solid position since there is not likely to ever be another metacrisis. But the purity of their feelings for one another remains tainted by his abandoning her after she did so much to save him.

He comes off as faithless rather than heroic as RTD meant to convey.

David says you can't have happy endings. I don't know where he and RTD get this feeling though. I suppose it is born in the idea that the Doctor must be continually on duty and punished for his sin of destroying his people. But that makes no sense...because 10.2 could have been the one to do the specials...and then 10 could have returned. I think that RTD was married to his idea that the walls between the universes could not be breached...and his idea that this love story was meant to end tragically. Maybe because he's British...I don't know.
