Well, they didn't have my all time OTP on that list, but Doctor/Rose is a close second, so I had no trouble voting for them.

It's Lois & Clark (from the 1990s TV show (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lois_and_clark). I. Was. Obsessed. with that show, those characters, and the actors. Definitely my first and most treasured fandom). And yet I only have one icon from it; it's hard to find icons (that I like) for that show, since it ended before a lot of LJ users would have been into it or when LJ even was around, so the good icon makers never really work with that show.

Oh, neat! I did think it was Lois and Clark. I used to adore that show, too. But it has been so long that I couldn't be sure in the small icon shot if that was them.

And I know what you mean about older shows, because there are many I wish had vids and icons galore. Someone made a lovely Scarecrow and Mrs. King vid a year or so ago and it delighted me.

That was easy: there wasn't anyone else even in the ballpark for me. (Maybe they'd already'd been eliminated in the earlier round of polling, but still the current list was surprisingly non-compelling.)

As they didn't specify which Doctor, I could imagine that I was voting for Nine/Rose! (Is that fair? After all, that'd mean that Doctor/Rose OTP is getting double the amount of votes if you vote for Ten while I am voting for Nine under the same header. Hmmm.)

Yes, we could get many votes from assorted shippers. The lovely thing is we keep Rose in the mix.

But.... wouldn't Eleven be all about River? I've pulled back from the current series, so you'll have to tell me if Rose has been invoked in canon. Specifically, would current (new Matt Smith) fans expect to see them onscreen as a OTP?

There are lots of Rose/Eleven fans coming around. She has appeared, at least once, to him. He asked the TARDIS for comfort and a projection of Rose appeared.

But, yes, I feel OTP quizzes would make it Eleven/River.

Little bit off topic, but just wanted to make you aware of that this year's DW-based CIN special is a "minisode" (gods, they just make up words now) "prequel" (clearly a trailer or teaser) to the Xmas episode and can be viewed here.

In Brief: Emo-Doc (again) is in Victorian-England-for-Christmas (again), with the very same aliens from previous seasons.

Yeah, that's compelling. That's exactly why I'm distanced. Just can't work up enough interest in ... suffering. Mine, at watching warmed-over costumes & stories, and theirs, courtesy of the Doctor. (Nu-who has been brought to us by fans of Jonathan Smith: "The pain, oh the pain!")

Actually, I wish he would suffer a bit more, myself.

The reason I'm distancing is that I can't stand the Matt/Moff Doctor's woeful insincerity. He's too childishly fake to me. But, as you see from Idle & Blessed, I have an explanation for that. And I feel I will stick to my explanation until Moff snatches it from me at the 50th Anniversary.

I definitely get a Lost in Space vibe from New Who Two. That's the exact level of writing and acting they seem to be shooting for, in my opinion.

But I'm happy that you voted for the Doctor and Rose. YAY! How are they doing? Still in the top ten? I can't get the list to load for me anymore. And I didn't even over vote or anything. I just can't get it to load at all, perhaps because I already voted.
