Still the same players! What is holding the rest of you back? Could be boredom of course. But at least I am using my creative muscles again...for more regular postings. Even if what people are learning is that my family is rather weird.

Today's True or False Puzzle

I won a USSA Junior Olympic silver medal in Women's Downhill when I was in high school (never mind the year...as I won't have anyone looking it up as that would be cheating) at an event held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

And the answer to yesterday's T/F question is...

TRUE. I was the proud owner of a pony for about 12 hours. I found out at about the pony at around 2:00 am and was driven, in my pajamas, to the place where the pony was stabled. However, because it was 2:00 am the place was securely locked down and I never actually saw the pony. It was a Morgan crossbred according to the ownership papers and stood 13 hands so it was a larger size pony. I am sure it had a name on the paperwork but I was going to give it a name myself. However, my stepfather gambled it away the next morning...along with our color TV.

So, sad story, still stings a bit I suppose. I always wanted a horse, but I'm not sure how we would have afforded the fees and food for it as we were quite poverty stricken at this time. Perhaps that was why my stepfather entered another poker game. He did hang out with gamblers but was not generally prone to gambling himself. He was, however, prone to lose (sell, gamble, trade) things we thought we owned...like color TVs.

Oh you sneaky woman! I never imagined that you weren't playing the poker game!!! Please see previous comments re: really bad at this type of thing.

As for this one....I'm assuming this is skiing?

I have a sad story of sorts about me and a pony. My Aunt Mary (my grandfather's sister) promised me a pony every time I saw her. And for years I really believed I'd get one. I remember when she died in my 20's crying rather hysterically and my mom asking why. "Because I never got my pony!" I even stupidly asked if there was a pony for me in her will. How lame is that? I always knew it was a facetious pony and yet a part of me wanted to believe.

As to today's true or false? I'll go out on a limb and say true. 50-50 odds, right?

Hugs you about your pony. And it is not lame at all. I totally understand that you can be heartbroken by the loss of a figurative pony. I mean, I still hold a bit of a grudge about mine. Admittedly not as big a grudge as the one I held at 14...or even the one I still held at 20. LOL

who thinks maybe lots of kids have sad pony stories, because so many of us wanted a pony and never had one.

Again you are a big stinky liar.

But the pony story is sad. For you and the pony.

Aww. I wanted to think that your story was too depressing to be true, but my optimism failed. XD
