Would I Lie To You? Post 5
Sep. 12th, 2010 11:56 pmStill the same players! What is holding the rest of you back? Could be boredom of course. But at least I am using my creative muscles again...for more regular postings. Even if what people are learning is that my family is rather weird.
Today's True or False Puzzle
I won a USSA Junior Olympic silver medal in Women's Downhill when I was in high school (never mind the year...as I won't have anyone looking it up as that would be cheating) at an event held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
And the answer to yesterday's T/F question is...
TRUE. I was the proud owner of a pony for about 12 hours. I found out at about the pony at around 2:00 am and was driven, in my pajamas, to the place where the pony was stabled. However, because it was 2:00 am the place was securely locked down and I never actually saw the pony. It was a Morgan crossbred according to the ownership papers and stood 13 hands so it was a larger size pony. I am sure it had a name on the paperwork but I was going to give it a name myself. However, my stepfather gambled it away the next morning...along with our color TV.
So, sad story, still stings a bit I suppose. I always wanted a horse, but I'm not sure how we would have afforded the fees and food for it as we were quite poverty stricken at this time. Perhaps that was why my stepfather entered another poker game. He did hang out with gamblers but was not generally prone to gambling himself. He was, however, prone to lose (sell, gamble, trade) things we thought we owned...like color TVs.
