Another Big Thank You
Aug. 28th, 2010 09:32 pmI wanted to thank everyone who donated to my cause at www.rainondust.net
Pay pal sometimes gives me information about or notes from donors, but often I do not know you by your real names. So, this will have to do for a thank you to you all.
Thanks to your generous donations I was able to do the following...
...replace the serpentine belt on my car...several of you chipped in on that one. And get the oil changed.
...afford my over the counter medications and supplements. Fish oil and magnesium still not covered by insurance.
...afford the expensive sun screen that (YAY!!) actually did protect me from skin cancer. I saw the dermatologist yesterday and he didn't have to cut the bump off my face after all. <<--This was a worry because I was precancerous at the last check up (over a year ago) and have been getting lots of letters about how much danger I was in and I couldn't afford the sunscreen for about three months, during which the odd bump tripled in size.
...buy underwear to replace the very holey ones I had been wearing. Yet another thing you don't realize until you have no money is how you will eventually run out of underwear as they become nothing but strings and elastic after a year or so.
...make a bazillion frickin' copies for my lawyers, doctors and social security and fax all of same to various places. I have no idea how they expect us to afford all of this copying and faxing...but they only give us 10 days from the time they send out the letters. Which means about 4 days from the time the letters arrive to get it back to them...so...faxing is required.
All that said, thanks so much for the help! Your collective generosity helps keep my head dry as I tread water. :Big Hugs:
