No, kidding...I do have the e-mail. She sent it to me about a week ago. I keep meaning to answer it. I think I will do so as soon as I finish this message to you.

As for original work...yes...I am planning on doing that...I am working on something currently, trying to do an hour a day. And I was debating how to keep myself motivated when fanfiction is so much more...immediately gratifying. Jan suggested using the fanfiction as a reward for my muse...and I might just do that...one hour on the original...and she's free to go play with the Doctor and Rose. ;->

Life is fairly good today. How is yours? Looking forward to the Holiday Season or empty nest all echo-y? I would think if it was you could just drive up the street and visit your former nesters. ;-> Any original work expected from your muse. Jeepers! I should...just once in a while...read my LJ friend's page.

I have kept my Spuffy hand in the game by doing beta work for Skycaia aka thisficklemob Whenever I do a chapter for her I get the urge to finish Ichnobate...but I just have a little lie down until the urge passes.

Anyway...happy holidays. My New Year's LJ Resolution is to spend more time commenting to others. My RL NYR is...work on that original work.

i was rereading previous chapters yesterday, actually, but i actually had to force myself to reread chapter 10. :[ it makes me upset, you see. :/ *sheepish*


i really liked what you said in your post about rose's ongoing place in canon. i feel exactly like you do - to have her as a quest of sorts for the doctor would be completely appropriate and would fit in with his character very nicely. that "always wait five and a half hours" reference CANNOT be in there for no reason.

i personally believe that david and billie have already filmed a reunion scene on the beach, but maybe that's just a function of me and my conspiracy theory-inclined mind. :P

I, too, believe they filmed a reunion scene on that beach. And for the exact same reason...he told her to always wait 5 and a half hours. Maybe...it was just something cute to say...but I can't help thinking she WOULD wait for him...probably more like 5 and a half days.

Also, I think it is interesting that Billie is no longer jealous of Martha but is all..."He's on the rebound...it will never last." I hope that's because she KNOWS the Doctor would never forget Rose...and not just wishful thinking.

Thanks for the reread...sorry chapter 10 makes you sad (No...wait...I'm not sorry at all...because it was supposed to be a trying chapter...big time angst and all). Tell ya what...you can skim over it if you like...get the gist.

I haven't commented on this before but honestly, what a great bit of writing this is. From the first chapter of the "post traumatic sleep decorating" (snark) I was hooked. It's brilliant, original, and I am so glad you're still going.

I'm right there with you as a fellow romantic fool! There's two parts of me. There's the "don't you dare have put me through all that for nothing" part that says that Rose is really gone, and the part that wants the happy ending. I can separate good television and drama from what I might want, and well, that's what fan fiction is for, isn't it?

I guess if they got together in spectacular fashion and lived happily ever after that would be the end of the story, and where would that leave us?

But, a girlie can dream.

The show must go on...but it may not run as long as it did before. It's a new world AND they introduced a new thing (the Doctor in love)...but, honestly, even if the show goes on...David Tennant won't...and I'd be happy if the Doctor got just a little bit of happiness with Rose. If he got to just do what they were going to do...live out her life together.

I know Rose getting old wouldn't make good television...but believing that happened (seeing them reuninted) would give all of the fans of Rose a fitting spot for her in his life. Then...when the show came back with a new Doctor six months later...he would be moving on to other things...probably not mentioning Rose at all...other than to show a deeper understanding of humanity or something.

On the other hand...the BBC simply doesn't want the Doctor to have a sex life...period. They have always used the "he's above it all" line of reasoning. And they stuck to that with Rose. But another very good reason for him not to have romantic feelings toward those nubile and beautiful girls onboard is because he's "constant"...his hearts belong to another.

People say two things about this 1) unrealistic and 2) no ships for anyone else then in the past or future. But I say...1) no MORE unrealistic than he belongs to a species with no sexual impulse at all or such an alien one we never see any sign of love...that's actually quite unrealistic given all we know of the Time Lords. 2) We are MORE likely to have interesting fanfiction featuring other companions or Mary Sues. If he loved Rose...there is always fanfiction HOPE that he loved EARLIER and lost...or that he WILL be swept uber-romantically off his feet by ANOTHER down the line.

I don't say the BBC will EVER acknowledge he could love another...but the fans, I would think, could write about the woman who "heals his heartbreak" to their hearts content in fanfiction.

And I might add...we Rose/Doctor fans would have an entire lifetime of hers to fill with book, fanfic and...fingers crosssed possible feature film...adventures. I see a Ten/Rose reunion at the end of David's run as the Doctor as NOTHING BUT 'good television.'

Let me take a moment to say thank you so much for your kind words about my fiction. ;->

I am afraid I sound quite passionate when I am explaining a fruitful storyline...and a Rose/Ten reunion is/could be very fruitful for Dr. Who in my opinion. But anyway...you liked Disheveled...and you want me to "write faster" and so I will tell you that there is a chapter with the beta babes...right now!

Should be up this weekend.

You know, I hadn't thought about it quite that way. I have the very human perspective that the happily ever after would be the end for both of them, and you're right, it would be for Rose, and not for the Doctor. That could work.

So, I have just a few comments to make on this series of yours.

1. It has been much too long since the last update.
2. Wow umm.. heh. Love.
3. I have not read het in... like 4 years. Yours is the first het I've read in forever. I love it alot.
4. I don't think I am capable of making a whole lot of sense at the moment.
