Two very interesting tidbits of television news came my way today.

1) Christopher Eccleston landed a role on Heroes. As if I need another reason to watch Heroes. But those of you who are somehow not on the slow moving train that is Heroes, a show with a creator who has plotted out five seasons of storyline (and I can tell)...now's your chance to hope onboard.

2) They appear to be planning an Odd Thomas series. I adore Odd Thomas and think it would make a wonderful series...if only there weren't so many people already talking to the dead. However, if they hire Christopher Gorhman to play Odd...they might just have something. Fat chance of that, I suppose...probably an unknown. Still...Odd is well worth watching a few episodes.***

Rae
hoping Chris isn't Sylar...I want him to be a good guy...or, at least, a delightfully ambiguous character.

***NOTE: The good news is I'm not insane (or rather...I may be insane but you can't prove it by the evidence above...thinking there was an Odd Thomas TV series planned is completely sane on my part)...but there's NOT an Odd Thomas TV series planned. For more info on how Bantam Books and Dean Koontz made me doubt my sanity...go to www.oddthomas.tv and click on Chapter 1 and then press play.

I am in some Heroes comms and this is spreading all over. I love the show and am so excited. And Billie's Ruby in the Smoke airs in December.

I have no idea what Odd Thomas is but I yay in support. Also, check your e-mail when you get a chance. And I love that you are posting so much.

Chris is definitely not Sylar. I know who Sylar is if you're curious.

I'm totally psyched for CE to be on Heroes. That's my favorite (by far) new show of the season.

And, nope, definitely not Sylar. They gave us enough of a glimpse of him this week so I know who it is (recognize the actor). Back to wondering what Chris will be able to do...hmmmm....

OMGosh, so yum, Chris on Heros, I'm going to die of excitement!!! What's Odd Thomas?

Odd Thomas is a book...a really rockin' book

And it would make a great show...but apparently...the publisher of the book is just teasing us because a new Odd Thomas book is due out.

If you want to see why I thought it was a show...go to
www.oddthomas.tv and you'll see.

Great, now I'm going to have to watch just to see CE. Though, I could just wait for his bits to show up on YouTube. Yeah, I think I'll do that. ;)

Did you see my extremely long response in the other thread?

No...Heroes is great. You should watch. But you have to be patient with it because it really does unwind at a leisurely pace. CE is going to rock on it.

Rae
who did see your comments but who has been working on hammering Disheveled into shape.

Yay! Work away on that new chapter! :)

As for Heroes. I know it's good, but I made myself swear that I wouldn't pick up any new shows. I watch too many shows already.

Don't worry, Chris isn't Sylar. They're actually going to be revealing Sylar next week, I think. But I, unlike you, hope that Chris is a baddie. :) I wanna see him be all baaaaaaad. And then he can get in a catfight with Adrian Pasdar while flying through the air. And there will be clothing removal involved. Oh yes. *wanders off*

Chris can be a baddie...I just don't want him mostly in shadow or lurking or something...I want him out in the open...strutting his stuff...picking up American TV cred...and forcing his stock higher.

Odd Thomas!!! I absolutely LOVED both books, except for the whole heart wrenching character death... I bawled as soon as I figured out she was gone. I agree, Christopher Gorham would be perfect.

Interetingly enough...

...I am currently reading Forever Odd. When this news broke I had just finished the first book. I, too, adore Odd. And as soon as I heard the voice over on the ad I recognized him so they have a good voice over (possibly actor...we don't see his face). They say to go to www.oddthomas.com to learn more. I haven't gone yet. Maybe tonight.

BTW, new book out soon, Brother Odd.

The link didn't work for me, brought up a search page *pouts*

I read about the third one on wiki.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brother_Odd

It took me about one day to read through Forever Odd.

I actually posted a crossover challenge on TTH right after, but it has since disappeared.

Not something I'm up to writing my self. Ah well. Any hope for an update on that wonderful Who story???

You know...I wasn't sure about the link...

I think that it had more to it than just the name. But now I'm beginning to think I dreamed the whole thing...because you would think I could find some reference online if there was a show planned. I do fall asleep in front of the TV sometimes. Maybe I just thought I saw the ad...but man it was vivid. Still, that might explain why the voice was so accurate...maybe it WAS the voice I use for Odd Thomas. And it odd that it would happen just as I'm reading the book, too.

We will see if this develops further...or I turn out to be crazy. Either way...I will let you know.

Meanwhile...the next chapter of Disheveled should be at the betas tonight or tomorrow...depending on how much time I spend obsessing on a mythical Odd Thomas series. ;->

It's an advert for the BOOK. By Bantam Books...but go and see why I thought it was a tv show when the commercial aired during CSI.

Click on Chapter 1 and then press play.

Wow! Thanks for the link. Completely cool. I hope the library get the new book, cause I so don't want to have to wait for the paperback(Charlotte only buys children's books in HB).
