Hurricane Wilma is taking aim at Florida. No doubt by this time tomorrow I will be out of touch for a little while. Our hatches are battened. We are hunkered down. There is water in the cupboard and batteries in the flashlights. I'm about to unplug the computer and go back to pencil and paper...

I hear it's good for writer's block. ;-D

Sigh. I disappeared thoroughly, haven't checked at LJ even once since the earthquake hit. And today, I decided to come back. I guess to tell you "BE SAFE". Please, please do. I'll be thinking of you. Dammit, is this the freaking apocalypse??

Not as bad as all that, Chris

It didn't hit too hard up here...my brother got a beating down in South Florida though. This is just what we need to get used to in the next few years. Mother nature has been kicked around by our kind for a few millenia...the water is nice and warm and it's time she got to kick us back. Every time I pass an S.U.V. and that's about ever 1.2 seconds down here...I think okay, we deserve to get our ass whipped.

One day we will live in harmony with nature and her blasts won't be as devastating. Or...at least I hope that's how it plays out...I'd hate to see nature get any more pissed off. ;-D

LOL. I surely do hope you are right. It's bad, bad this year. I know there were decades in the 1800s that were bad, too, but communication/media makes it so much more immediate and scary.

Good luck, sweetie. I hope it blows out at sea.

Living in Florida is insane!
