...alright...not behind my back...but in a sling!
See? I have my orders...rest the shoulder...two more weeks of rest...no typing...no internet...no CHAT!
...alright...very little...typing, internet...chat....and mostly one-handed.
So, I have the time on my hands...and I have filled this time with X-MEN.
...alright...Wolverine...
...alright...Hugh Jackman as Wolverine!
...And Rogue!
I am...all of a sudden...a Wolverine/Rogue shipper. And yes, I do know that it is terribly unfair of me to support the W/R ship when I find Spike/Dawn icky...irony thy name is Rabid...but I don't have the arm to go into that now...I am here to insult people by dissing their ships (or actually by dissing their imagination).
;-D
Yes, Dr. Smith, I think dissing qualifies as an absolutely necessary use of my arm.
So, I don't know jack about X-Men comics. Or rather...I know what a librarian should know (names of characters, where to find out their specs, that it is a juggernaut for Marvel and considered the most enduring series of comics...EVER) but nothing about what happened when and why in the multitude of comics out there. I watched the movies...I thought they were okay and Jackman was sexy. But until...last week...when I was home nursing my arm and watched X2 for the third time...I didn't know that Wolverine/Rogue wasn't comic-canon. And this led me to ponder how and why people assume a ship...it's all about imagination IMltHO...

WHY?
1. These couples have on-air romantic interaction as specified and no imagination is required of the shippers.
2. These couples were ALSO romantically linked in canon but less obviously.
3. These couples have a relationship of some kind...but it is not romantic...the shipper must read between the lines.
4. These people have no relationship or they have one that is anti-romantic in nature...i.e. supervisor/subordinate.
5. Do you even have to ask? Take your meds!
* Ships I write or support
** Yes, I got Lumi both coming and going...because...you know it is true...Lumi has in canon support but I need to be medicated before I believe it will work out.
*** Oh, you wish!
Start your sputtering.
