Again I say...Days, Days, Days, Days...Days!

Being a DOOL fan means never being sure if you are going to watch it the next day. Every episode it seems like they hit the bottom of the "crap-ass storyline meets cartoon character" barrell...and then...somehow...they dig a little deeper.

So, Jennifer...is on a ledge that is crumbling away. And if you tuned in...I don't know...let's say two weeks ago...you might be thinking it's the SAME ledge Jennifer was on back then...that ledge, if you remember, was also crumbling away...amd Jennifer was clinging to Jack. But if you think she's on the same ledge...you would be wrong. No...if it was the SAME ledge...you would be watching The Young and the Restless.

This is DOOL and it's a totally different ledge...and a totally different man that Jennifer is now clinging to.

Meanwhile...Hope has, once again, passed out...people have gathered around her and are chatting away about how dire her condition is...but, and this is a crucial point...they are making no effort whatsoever to help her. This despite the fact that we have a doctor, a former EMT and the chief of police in the room.

If you tuned in a week or so ago...you might find this situation terribly familiar, too. Last week if you remember Hope had passed out after hitting an electrified barrier of some kind. As she sprawled on the grass, breathing shallowly...two decorated policemen (one a former EMT) were so afraid of her enormous breasts and pouty lips they were unable to perform CPR.

Fake Roman: Blow in her mouth.
Abe: I'm not touching her mouth...you blow into it.
Fake Roman: I'm not putting my lips anywhere near.... Look, she's breathing...right? Maybe all we need to do is massage her...
Abe: Oh, no! No, no, no! I can't touch those things. I'm a married man.
Fake Roman: Uhm...so now what? We crouch over her and look concerned?
Abe: I might be willing to wave some grass under her nose. I used to be an EMT...so I'm qualified to do that much.

Back home in Salem. Sami, just like last week...the week before...and every other week for the past ten years, was all over the board. She hates John and wants him dead...she didn't want her mother buried...was sure she was alive...and now wants her to rest in peace...look she's bonding with John...she's teasing Lucas...she's not going to marry him...oh, wait she is...oh, no...it's all a ploy to make Kate have a heart attack...now it isn't...Can Lucas stop over reacting? Believe her? Forgive her? Make it all work out?

Oh, THANK YOU LORD...they are stripping...Lucas naked, Sami shutting the Hell up...this is heaven.

And speaking of things to be thankful for: there is a NEW, new Belle. Not to be confused with the OLD new Belle who had the dubious distinction of making the OLD old Belle look like some kind of...actress. The NEW new Belle is too new for me to make any assumptions about her acting ability...but one point in her favor...you can see her if she stands sideways. I mean, who the hell thought the OLD new Belle looked like Sami's sister? She also seems to have a bit of chemistry with Phillip...who I like loads more than Shaun.

I know Shaun and Belle must have fans...but I just don't see the attraction. Belle is a wussy fawn and Shaun is a bellowing fool. Bo, really wasn't like that in his super-couple days (Hopefully, SoapNet will show some Days worth watching). What can I say to express the lack of appeal of Shaun Douglas...even being held captive by a psycho isn't making him more watchable. What will it take? Maybe if he was pregnant and stuck on a crumbling ledge in the middle of a tropical jungle...

...now that's good television!

I've been watching this show since around 1978 and the storylines are still the same. I was there for Sami's original freak out over John not really being Roman and John and Marlena's affair that led to Belle which led to Sami blaming John for everything wrong in the world.

And it's STILL going on. Though I love how he still loves her even when she's trying to get him up on murder charges. And the semi-sweet scenes between the two the other day were great.

And, yeah, how many ledges is Jenn going to fall down on?

I like the new Belle better then the more recent Belle who apparently sucked badly at getting her lines and blocking down, and I prefer Philip over SD, but basically I'm there for Brady to take off his shirt.

Er, wrong relationship, but you get the point I'm sure. Shirtless men, never a bad thing.

...I saw Stefano rise from the dead for the FIRST time ever. Back when Renee and Tony were going at it (and Tony was very hot indeed...I did love that he still loved Renee in the end...that they had their moment and Andrea didn't fool her).

the semi-sweet scenes between the two the other day were great. Yes...they really do need to just let Sami mature a little. She doesn't make a lot of sense as a character. She can maybe be devilish rather than totally insane. I loved the very-late-in-coming threat to have her committed. I would think it would be the sensible thing to do considering how disruptive she is.

basically I'm there for Brady to take off his shirt. Oh, yeah! I tell you of all the people who aren't dead...Victor made me the happiest...because it opened the door for Nicole/Brady. I love her...I know I'm not supposed to...but I do...even though she's evil...I feel her pain.

Personally, I haven't watched any storyline not Jack/Jen or Sami/Lucas for the past two years. But, I have been keeping up with the previews, which seems to give me most of the information I need.

When is Shawn getting out of the bloody cage? It's been, like, a year!

A Nu!Nu!Belle seems to have less of a I'm!Acting! vibe to her than the Old!Nu!Belle. I still miss KS, though.

Hopefully Jack and Jennifer will stop falling off things and stop having labor false alarms long enough to have a meaningful reunion.

Thanks! Sometimes I just have to let it all out. It is such a travesty of a show. And yet many of the couples are likable and some of the twists are fun...for example: I think the Island Project is ISA and not Stefano. However, I do ask myself...everyday..."WHY AM I WATCHING THIS CRAP?"

She might be the original old old Belle. The problem is what plays well at 15 gets really silly at 20. It was hard for me to judge the actress because she was sleepwalking through her admittedly ridiculous lines.

I like ShawnDouglas, but who is this Philip - he's huge and awful and ugly.

I agree that SD is much cuter than Philip...who as you noted is hulking and also not much of an actor. But SD is in such a rut as a character...I don't think I can stand another moment of his senseless ranting in the cage...nor can I stomach him mooning over his virginity for another second. So, at what price CUTE...I ask you?

I love Mimi! DITTO! In fact, I think the actress would make a fab Buffy if JW decides to recast for a movie or something.

I see what you mean about Belle and the age thing, but I thought she was doing a very good job.

And what about Chloe? I LOVED when she and Brady sang - they both have great voices and I adored it when they did some songs from "The Sound of Music". I never understood what was going on, but it was great!

He was dead. But now...not so much. Like the rest of the presumed dead of Salem, Jack was only mostly dead. There's a difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. Currently, slightly alive Jack is wandering around the jungle slightly alive and alternating between yelping over Jennifer and fainting.

And while I'm on the subject, what's up with all those dead people? Who aren't?

Turns out all of them were mostly dead. It helps if you've seen The Princess Bride.

who really thinks the Island is some kind of ISA training facility or experiment. Maybe it has something to do with terrorists. I think Patrick is ISA and Shane Donavon will show up any minute now. It's not Stefano this time...that's my prediction.
