Until [livejournal.com profile] talitha78 makes me a Sterek vid, I believe this one is going to be my favorite vid for the show.

I've been trying to convince those of you who are not down with the Teen Wolf crack, yet, that it is the best thing ever.

Maybe this look at the angst ridden lives of our wolf pack members will inspire you to make your way through the first few episodes of S1 to the good stuff. You have to watch it all though, because, more than any other show, this one really does throwback to every single episode. Jeff Davis writes convoluted in ways that should make Moff hang his head in shame.

That was lovely (though why so little Stiles?! lol)

I wish I could get my friends to see past 'it's on MTV; it's based on a cheesy 80s movie' to watch it!

Oh, and your fic is one of many tabs open on my computer to read (I missed like a hundred fics while on vacation). Derek/Stiles is my second fave pairing. :)

Ah! There you are! Back from vacation.

I feel like such a selfish Flist person, going..."Hey! Where is my review?" And then finding you were being so nice to me on your journal and I was all oblivious. I do hang my head in shame over my lack of feedback on your many posts. I can't believe it has been that long since I check my Friend's List. Bad! Bad! Rabid!

Also, squeeing that you like Sterek. I'm completely gone over it. And, that is so weird for me...but suddenly, it was like the scales falling from my eyes. And I'm being sucked into the fic writing. I had toyed with writing something, but I never would have imagined it would be this.

I also agree with you on the "What? No Stiles?" part of the wolf pack...but she was doing an Erica/Boyd thing that snowballed into all wolves. I think of Stiles as the co-leader of the pack, but I suppose he is more TeamHuman for most people. Counting Lydia as TeamHuman seems wrong to me, though.

Why so little Stiles?

That was my exact question last night on the finale. Not that I personally mind because we had so much T-Hoech. My friend is a Peter fan like you and she is upset, but I figure you are not, while I was totally expecting all of the main points in the end. One of them better not be true...but I don't think it is. And another one might be true either, even though every one assumes it is.

Trying hard not to spoil you here, while simultaneously giving the episode a cautious thumbs up.

I thought the same thing re: Stiles!

No, I'm not upset about Peter (as long as he doesn't get his ass permanently killed). I watched the post show thingie and Ian seems happy that he's going to be a badass again. *g* He may consider himself the Alpha but he isn't one physically (no red eyes) yet. I figure he'll continue to manipulate behind the scenes for a while, playing the "good" guy. Interesting to me in that the series I'm writing now, Peter bides his time during the battle during the eclipse (this was written before 3.12 aired) and when the moon starts to return, kills Deucalion and becomes the Alpha of the Hale Pack again. I figure on the show he'll go after Scott.

So, what are your theories that you're vague about up there? *g*

I watched the post show, too. Laughed at Ian's "I think that's authentic" about his idea that Peter had killed dozen of innocent people.

It is interesting to me that we now know that the power can be drained away without killing Scott. So, it is possible that Peter is setting himself up to drain or draw on the power of Scott's pack, but Scott doesn't have to die.

Someone asked me about where the twins will live now, assuming they had lived with Deuc. I'm not sure we know that they did live with him. Because they aren't really high school students...maybe they are parentless and homeless like Isaac. Who is apparently going to just sleep at the foot of Allison's bed. Grinning over that preview last night. Anyway, I see Derek's loft as the obvious hang out place for the wolf pack, with dear old crazy Uncle Peter providing them guidance. I just hope Derek isn't gone for several episodes to facilitate this power shift. But I can see why it was necessary for him to leave.

I thought he would leave under worse circumstances. I tend to go for the big dramatic moments as cliffhanger endings...but Jeff can leave us wanting more with far less melodrama. It is one of his strengths to layer in the subtle moments alongside the big crashing through the roof ones.

So, the main points I figured were coming were...1) True Alpha Scott. 2) Dark!Scott foreshadowed. 3) Jennifer dies in relationship to the Nemeton 4) Deuc is spared by the pack. 5) Jennifer and Deuc drain one another's power --though again this was more Derek than anything...go him! 6) Derek leaves town 7) Peter is shown to be manipulating it all behind the scenes. 8) Kali and one of the twins would die (my money was on Aiden). 9)That everything was connected in the past...including Peter and Gerard.

Things I was not expecting...1) Derek doesn't leave town a broken man 2) Deuc goes back to being a nice guy 3) Dark!Stiles and Dark!Allison foreshadowed. 4) That Peter might be completely crazy or still an Alpha. 5) Both twins died but both were spared. 6) Stiles didn't really save the day...that much. I had hoped we would see some slight magic...given that wooden bats are made of ash. 7) No Gerard/Peter scene...making me think they are still at odds...the chess players in the game.
