Srsly? Not me! Truth in advertising: if you go where there are jellyfish in the water, you won't get to go into the [crystal clear, bright blue & green with white sand] water. At least, not without wearing protective gear. :(
Pretty to look at, but I wouldn't want to be there.
P.S. - Did you know that they still have bubonic plague in Madagascar? (Also malaria, pirates, political unrest ... but, hey, LEMURS!)
Hee! I was more worried about the veiled people. Not that I think all veiled people are violent, not at all. But I do hate the double standard for females, wherever I find it lurking...or veiled.
Being female myself, I do have a tendency to believe we are the superior type of human, but I try to hold that belief in check. I don't go around saying, "Well, it is time to cull the herd of unwanted testosterone." In all fairness humans come in a few types, male, female, transgender, asexual, and we need to learn to tolerate each other...sans veils and closets.
I have, as I say in the post above, had my fill of beaches, as I grew up in Florida. And we try to avoid the swarms of jellyfish here, but one or two floating by are fine. But I loved the huts and bridges and the smiles in this vid. That is what tempted me. I probably wouldn't go into the water, I'd just lounge in a hut and drink fruit juice fizzes.
... or at least, that's what the music bed brings to mind. LOL! ;)
If those were water lounge chairs at 2:18, then I agree that a bottled (!) (Don't use ice & don't drink the water!) fizzy drink might be lovely. The boardwalk and the lit pyramids are a fantasy made real. It looks to be a gorgeous place; hope it's not solely a tourist-trap creation.
I second your call for tolerance. That said; how's your tolerance for sunburn? 'Cause I reckon that I'd crisp up in 90 minutes even with a sunscreen SPF-∞.
That is another reason that beaches never tempt me. I cannot tan! I remain fish belly white, until I burn. But it does take a bit of time in the sun to burn me. I suppose this does look like a skin cancer development vacation spot. I still think it is a romantic fantasy come true.
Oh, good: the infinity symbol loaded correctly; I wasn't certain that it would do.
I burn-then-tan, too, but in a very short amount of time. (Perhaps due to climate change or ozone depletion or similar.)
"I still think it is a romantic fantasy come true."
Oh, yeah? Well then ... how about writing some fic to to prove your point? I know you said that you're not feeling at your best, but perhaps a mini-virtual-vacation would be just the thing! Locate your fizzy drink, dangle your feet in a tub of water, open the windows and have at it! ;-D
If not, well, Stephen Colbert is always good for some laughs. I'm also finding that John Oliver is a refreshing change, don't you agree? It's not the same as getting away, but it is laugh-therapy.
I'm heading off to do a bit of light reading myself... Laters!
