Pick a number from the list and I'll answer it in the comments - Also, bonus points if you answer at the same time! I don't know how the point system will work, but it will probably be something like they do on QI!

1 - Your current OTP
2 - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind
3 - A pairing you have never liked and probably never will
4 - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t
5 - Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what
6 - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom
7 - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it
8 - Do you prefer characters from real action series or anime series
9 - Has the internet caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why
10 - Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr/LJ/DW
11 - How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom
12 - Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for
13 - Your favorite fanart or fanartist
14 - Your favorite fanfiction or fanauthor
15 - Choose a song at random, which OTP does it remind you of
16 - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)
17 - A ship you’ve abandoned and why
18 - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
19 - Show us an example of your personal headcanon
20 - Do you remember what your first fanwork was?
21 - Self-rec: What's your favorite fanwork you've created?
22 - Are you one of those fans who can’t watch anything without shipping
23 - 5 favorite characters from 5 different fandoms
24 - 3 OTPs from 3 different fandoms
25 - A fandom you’re in but have no ships from
26 - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go

I'll pick 21: what's your favorite fan work that you've created?

When I read through this list, that was the one I hoped nobody picked. It is very hard to choose a favorite work. I like them all for different reasons. Disheveled is the one I'm most proud of, because I finished it and it went as planned. But is it my favorite?

I think my favorite fic might be Ichnobate from the Buffy/Spike years. It was quite ambitious and I never finished it. But more recently it would be Suicide Blonde. Because it was Nine/Rose, which I wanted to figure out how to do, and because it was porn that went the way I wanted it to go. Porn often doesn't, you know?

My favorite fanvid of mine is still Hand Me Down a Kara study for Battlestar Galactica. I sort of want to update it with footage to the end of the show. It would illustrate how true it all was in the end...especially that line about her disappearing. http://youtu.be/LOOyE4bFTJY

How about #4, and #7 if you feel like it.

The ship I wish I liked but don't is a very easy one to answer. I wish I liked Eleven/River. It would make life so much more enjoyable for me, if I could go back to my all time favorite show with a light and happy heart. But that relationship actually makes my heartache. But the whole set-up of that relationship is like a sick farce for me, I am afraid, and, no matter how I examine it, I can find no joy in it.

The first time I ever was aware of the shape of a story for a ship was when I watched Star Wars and I could tell that it should be Leia and Han. I remember someone trying to sell me on Luke/Leia after Empire, and I was like, "No, Han is the right one." I couldn't explain how I knew it, but it seemed to me to be in shape of the story. But my first fandom OTP for real was Mulder/Scully from the X-Files. We didn't have much of a ship rivalry back then, though the slashers were around with Krycek/Mulder. Mostly shippers fought the noromos. Where have all the noromos gone? Long time passing. Long time ago.

I'm in kind of the same boat with Eleven/River. There's just nothing for me to hold on to in that "ship", from any angle I look at it from it's...bothersome. Though mostly I just wish I didn't hate it, if I could even get to that stage (like if the show wrote it in a way that wasn't quite so awful) I probably still wouldn't *like* it (I am a Doctor/Rose shipper to the core) but not hating this ship would probably improve my feeling for Moff-Who.

It's weird, I grew up with Han/Leia, I never had a chance to think or it any other way (I was born the year Jedi came out and grew up on the movies) and yet...I'm pretty sure if I *had* approached it fresh with my current attitudes to ships I wouldn't be able to support it. I just don't like bad boys, never have (always been a Luke girl over Han) but since I never questioned the canon I don't treat it the same way I do ships I encounter now with similar dynamics. I'm pretty sure I said that badly, but the point is buried in there.

That is the weird thing about thinking back on ship wars in TXF fandom, because it wasn't between ships it was between pro and anti THE ship. They practically invented shipping but not the way it so often ends up now where it seems the only way to dislike a ship is to prop up another.

Exactly my feelings about River/Eleven, I feel manipulated and I don't like it. Also, I don't really tolerate either the clown or the braggart easily in real life. Like River calling the Doctor "Sweetie" would be particularly nauseating to me even if I had never met Rose. She is rather what I was imaging would happen when I first heard about the idea of Rose. As an original series fan, I was quite resistant to the idea of "the Doctor in love," when it was first presented to me.

I had missed all of S1 of New Who and only caught David in New Earth as my introduction. Then, of course, I decided to watch the show...and...erh...managed to find the episodes to watch. Slowly, but surely, just like the Doctor, against my better judgment, I fell in love with Rose. Had she been introduced like River was, I would never have warmed to her either. I don't like people who show off too much and that's what everyone does on this show now.

I'll go with #1 as it took me a long time to move on from Doctor/Rose. I'm back slashing again although I feel that it's practically canon with this OTP :) It's Sherlock Holmes & John Watson in their recent BBC adaptation.

I don't currently have an OTP. I entered the Teen Wolf fandom recently and have been inspired to think on assorted non-ships there. I like Derek and I like Lydia and I like Stiles. I was presented with the idea of Derek/Lydia in a vid, and thought they had possibilities. Then, I discovered Derek/Stiles, which I hadn't even noticed in the show. Rewatching with my sister, I've been leaning more and more toward Derek/Stiles, in my head.

I seldom slash ship, but I have been known to do so. Like I truly love House/Wilson and I certainly would ship Holmes/Watson--as you say, it is almost canon in the BBC adaptation.
