So, Nigel tells me that this elimination on show night is much better for me and for the show. Nigel and I have been getting along lately, but I'm still not sure he's right about this one.

George & Tiffany - Lyrical Hip-Hop - 6/10
To be fair, I didn't catch this entire routine. I came home a little bit late and came in at the middle of this one. Still, I could work out that it was babies getting down. George did look tired to me. Tiffany was a bit of baby buck. Good on her. I still don't care for this soft-stylings hip-hop though. I think Nappy/Tabs are creating their own style of hip-hop/jazz inspired stuff.

Amber & Brandon - I have no idea what style this is--looks contemporary-ish - 8/10
I scored this high mostly because I LOVE Amber. I don't think this routine is very good. It is a bit too raunchy for my tastes and I don't know that it shows Amber at her elegant best, but she's still magnificent. And I'd forgotten Brandon was a stepper. Great job from him, in view of his zero training in this style. To be fair, again, it is hard to notice anyone who is dancing with Amber. I will cast a vote for both of them.

Darian & Janeele -- Cha-Cha - 5/10
This should have suited Janeele, but I felt it showed Darien to more advantage. I haven't cared for him in the past, but in this I felt Pasha helped him very much. I don't agree with the judges about him in this routine. I think they were influenced by his past and were not paying attention this time. It is true that his footwork sucked. And there wasn't as much of a connection with his partner. However, I put the lack of chemistry on Janeele. I was quite disappointed in her, because the cha-cha has a lot of hip action. She wasn't the least bit sexy in this one. Darian could get my vote this time.

Lindsey & Cole - Contemporary - 6/10
Everyone loved this. I loved the lighting. I saw very little connection between the dancers and the theme seemed to be light & shadow, rather than love and hate. There wasn't much passion on display. Again, I don't agree with the judges. Well, except Nigel did point out that Cole is too precise or mechanical or whatever to register as exciting. I did enjoy his precision. And I thought Lindsay was supple and amazing, especially for a ballroom girl. I am giving her a vote for that, actually. Cole is still creeping me out a little, even though his extensions are amazing.

Amelia & Will - Jazz - 6/10
Color me unimpressed tonight. I agreed with Nigel that there was a complete lack of chemistry in this duo. Christina seemed to love them, however. I do think they have adapted nicely to different styles. I also think that Amelia dances very well. Unlike some overly cute girls of the past, she doesn't seem as invested in her "gimmick." But I don't find this pair interesting at all.

Audrey & Uhm...what's his name? - Salsa - 5/10
Here is another blah pairing. I didn't even remember they were in the competition. I suppose I am in the minority since neither of them have been in the bottom three. Or have they? I don't remember. HEE!

Witney & Chehon - Contemporary - 7/10
I'm not the fan of Chehon that everyone else appears to be. To me he was far too stiff in this dance. Witney was dynamite though and saved it for me. I am casting a vote her way.

Eliana & Cyrus - Hip-Hop - 6/10
Cyrus is a lucky dog this week. And the choreographer is copping out on him, too. I can't believe those suck up judges going on and on about a ballerina and a animator being cast as a ballerina and a robot. WOW! What a surprise for us! This was almost cheating. And seeing the fawning that it generated I felt that Cyrus must be going home this week. That's one of the down sides to my knowing that the judges know who scored low in the voting, I feel it makes the judges comments biased. All of that said, I was fascinated by how well Eliana and Cyrus worked together.

So...on to the evaluations...and it turns out that Eliana IS in the bottom three girls. Is that why they praised her so much? I don't know. Amber is in the bottom as well as Lindsey. And I'm pulling for Eliana to go home. For the boys we have George (who is undoubtedly safe) and Brandon (who should be safe after tonight's performance) and Darian. The judges didn't like Darien nearly as much as I did, so I figure he's out of there. My only worry is that this is the second time in the bottom for Brandon.

Nigel gives the little speech about there being no losers in this group. He, also, points out that Amber's routine tonight would get her votes if she stayed...but she's not staying. AMBER?!? NOOOOOOOO! Seriously? Okay, I think that her attitude in the auditions probably hurt her chances to be America's sweetheart. But that girl can really dance! I think given his performance tonight and his solo, I would have kept Darien, too. Sorry about that Brandon!
