Did you happen to see the other "Weird Stories" article with the monkey grooming a cat? For those of us who watch the Daily Show and have seen monkey washes cat many times, it was easy to spot what the monkey was doing.

I have never even heard of a numbat, and I've heard of almost every animal there is. I shall now rush off and look at them and read up on their behaviors.

AHA! I have heard of them...only I called them walpurti or banded anteater. And I've never really looked at their cute little faces before...so I didn't recognize the mugshot as one. Still, I should start calling them numbats, which is catchy.

They are remarkably adorable. And they led me to a sad entry about the Tasmanian Tiger. I watched 10 minutes of video archives from pre-extinction and was very sad about it all. Poor marsupials.

We should all be ashamed. I am, though I've never personally harmed anything and even work to save a few species...like tigers and whales and bees.
