Christopher Titus - Neverlution
Apr. 8th, 2012 10:45 amChristopher Titus is a comedian and he can be very politically incorrect, which makes him hard to listen to sometimes. But I like him, because he obviously comes from where I come from, his mentally ill mother killed one of her husbands ("...the last one, because you don't get another one after that") and his dad was an abusive, casually racist, red-neck alcoholic. And Christopher had the same reaction I had to that environment: "What the HELL is wrong with you people?"
Asking that question, about your family of origin, allows you the freedom to break away into your own society. If frees you to ask the same question of the world at large. How can people do these things to one another (see my last post). And, it does give you a sense of humor about some very dark subjects. Here is a clip from Christopher's latest show where he talks about the need for revolution in our society and why it isn't happening:

And, just because I too want to apologize, one of his best bits ever..."On behalf of Whitey I apologize..." where he starts out saying how sincerely sorry he is about slavery (in a different clip) and segues into everything horrible in the history of U.S. race relations.
