In the News...internet policing by governments

Imagine Big Brother watching you all the time. Imagine the internet is policed and sites are shut down simply because the Government or some Business doesn't approve. Imagine big business asking for legislation to control what you can find on the internet, simply to keep massive amounts of media profit. I say if they want to control piracy, they can make their products more readily available and fill that niche themselves.

Many a day I have railed against Wikipedia, but today I stand with them.

Hopefully it will be, there are better ways to control piracy of the sort that harms the bottom line. Fan usage shouldn't even be part of the equation, because fans help advertise a show.

I really hope this doesn't go through. I've been very worried since the defense bill was posted with erroneous information. Apparently, the law to give the President the power to detain Americans without trial did go through, but wasn't posted.
