Tim Minchin Has Been Cracking Me Up
Dec. 29th, 2011 11:27 pmHe's definitely an acquired taste and not for the seriously religious, which I sort of am, but I'm not Christian with a capital C and that helps. And I hope I'm never so convinced of anything that I can't laugh at my views. So...what I'm saying is I find Tim funny, even when many people don't...and even when he mocks something I hold dear...like alternative medicine...or true romance. Though, I am not a complete romantic, or so I often insist. But I still do believe in Rose/Doctor soulmate perfection. And I think some people are destined to find one another, though, obviously, I will entertain that might not hold true for everyone. And, in fact, might not hold true for Tim...as you will see in this example of his work.

Best part is, he pulls it off with some kind of message that he effectively puts across in a crude, but kind of awesome way.

Date: 2011-12-31 04:25 pm (UTC)It was a far better chain than the links I originally followed from "White Wine in the Sun," after listening to David's Desert Island Discs. That link led me to a song about how stupid American's were...which I didn't find offensive just terribly repetitive and another terribly repetitive one about F-ing the Pope. Those left me feeling that he really wasn't very clever. So, I felt I should share this with a few more people...as it is terribly clever...and has a nice link chain off of it.
BTW, I've tried to explain to my friends about "The Ging" but it isn't something that American's understand. Though, via Billie and CT, I've become familiar with the question of "What is it like to be (or marry) Ginger?"
