Animal Tidbits
Dec. 28th, 2011 11:17 pmOkay, I'm pretty sure that this cat is asthmatic, so this isn't as funny as it looks. But, it is clever of him to seek a window for air and there is still something about the way he returns to "normal cat mode" in response to noticing his human that makes me smile. "Nothing to see here, nosy human," he seems to be saying.
I, also, have come across this amazing story about animal cooperation in play. This behavior was observed by two different groups of scientists, among different groups of dolphins and whales. We call it "Whale Sliding" and it looks like loads of fun. We do not understand dolphin or whale so we don't know what they call it.

Too bad we humans are so hostile toward everything that we can't be trusted this close to whales. It just goes to show you can either hunt a species to the bring of extinction...or you can enjoy a fun game with them, but you can't do both. To make this point further...a mother gorilla...
