Because, for me, it’s the way the Doctor’s universe works.
That makes sense. It’s hard enough for me to walk away from this series after four years. (And I was always more a fan of The Rose Tyler Show than I was of Doctor Who.) I can’t imagine what it would be like if I’d spent a couple of decades caring about the Doctor.
Still, it doesn’t feel like I’m the one who went AU. I don’t think RTD even remembers the story and the characters he started with.
But maybe Moffat will take the series back to its roots. I don’t know.
