I used to look forward to the commercials at Christmas and the ones for the Superbowl because they used to represent true creative insight from corporations. Sadly, few corporations bother to try to be interesting or memorable anymore. And those that do try...fail. However, once in a great while there will be an interesting advert these days. This one is very interesting. Not only because of where it is aimed, but because it is aimed with wicked intent. Yes, we ladies will not fall for the casual manipulation of a beautiful, half-naked woman and the implication that our lives could be radically changed by body soap. That is how you sell things to guys. Right?

Fantastic
Date: 2010-02-13 11:31 pm (UTC)It is a Danish ad for washing soap and a shop called Fleggard, the shop is located in German (border country to Denmark). The text "Lige til grænsen" translates: just over the edge - it is a play with words Grænse means border hence "Just over the border".
...because...that just over the edge idea makes it quite funny to me. I would say this ad went a long way over the edge.

Actually, both vids aren't completely...um..."work safe". But hysterical, none the less.
You know what, though? I get it, but I still prefer words to images. I believe it's about depth (no pun intended!). Does that make me unusual?
Tell me that you love me for this...
