Happy Pony Day a.k.a. Happy New Year!
Jan. 1st, 2010 01:38 amI hope that this year brings all of you all the best...health, love, prosperity and ponies!
The Master's evil plan appears to have been foiled. His horse face is no more. And I have an icon to clearly illustrate what the Pony looks like...so you will recognize it when you spot it in the wild (or on telly). But let us hope that you will need nothing further than today's Doctor Who S4 Finale to help you know what getting a pony for a present feels like.
Now, we wait! Some of us longer than others.
Should you need distracting...from your weeping or from scattering spoilers hither and yon...my cyber-buddy
sensiblecat has been stockpiling links to keep us all sane, both before and after the episode airs.
I am simply hijacking those links for today's Pony Post. Thanks, Cat!
First, for those who find RTD's finales go just a little over the top (just a bit, just a smidge), we have this animated entry. I can't tell you how I giggled over this Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. RTD is sure to throw everything AND the kitchen sink into the scant 60 minutes he's got left, but this vid might just do him one better when it comes to excess. We will see, as my buddy, Kes, likes to say.

Second, for those of you who have been enjoying my "Pony Countdown" to David Tennant's last episode, we have a geeky version of your theme song. "The Final Countdown" played on the kazookeylele. That's a baby piano crossed with a kazoo and a ukelele. And who knew this was such a good song to vid? I never realized how pony-riffic this song actually was until I heard this very special rendition. “We are leaving, but, at least, we're together.” Someone should do a Rose/Ten vid. Not me. But if we get a pony, someone should definitely do a vid to celebrate, okay?

And last, but certainly not least, we must be prepared for every cracktastic plot twist that could occur. So, someone has made this handy set of End of Time Part 2 Bingo Cards. Print them out and play along with your FList.

The STAR in the middle, the given square, is the pony ending. Because, of course, that's going to happen. Truthfully, I was THAT surprised that they didn't have Rose Returns AGAIN as one of the squares. I don't think they were really trying. Still, they do have "Dramatic Farewell Snog" on there. So that counts for something. Maybe they are expecting he will kiss Wilf. I wouldn't put it past Wilf to kiss HIM, if things get particularly festive.
There...have fun while you wait.
And just before I go off to sleep, I am going to make one fearless and completely wrong prediction: The knock is Ten...he's been locked in the TARDIS bathroom since he was knocked unconscious in the wastelands. Ten 2 bundled him into the TARDIS bathroom, locked the door and took over. He is the one we've been running around with all this time. Yes, yes, I know that he told Wilf he was knocked unconscious and lost the Master...but that was just Ten 2 fooling us...so the knocking will be THAT much more unexpected when it comes.
LOL! I really wish I'd had the energy to enter that "Manage Your Expectations" contest
the_tenzo was running. The aforementioned
catsfiction won a prize at that one. Check out all the entries, if you really want a laugh.

If I'd had the energy to play, I would have given them Doctor Who: The Musical. It opens with the Master plotting the Doctor's downfall while offering up a stirring rendition of "Alone" by Heart. "How can I get you alone...?"
Now, that? THAT chills me to the bone.
AND ONCE MORE...WITH FEELING! PONY!PONY!PONY!

So now everybody will be seeing this before I get the chance to .. I want you all to hit me up with one of two words, Happy, or Crappy. This way I can decide if I will be actually watching the final Hurrah.
I'm riding the 10/Rose pony all the way to the end.
One word will do...
