There is a blue moon tonight and, of course, we all know that the Pony is a very rare thing as well. In celebration of these two rare and beautiful things very possibly coinciding, I have a music video. It isn't the greatest video ever (in fact, it is mostly scavenged from my other vids, so it could look familiar to some of you) but it is pretty and it definitely shows why I want a pony so much.

I'm quite weepy as well. And scared. Cringing a bit in my comfy chair. No matter how you look at it, my obsession with Doctor Who ends with this finale. Will that obsession end in happy tears or bitter ones is the only question.

Happy tears will definitely allow me to go on watching the show even though I will not be so focused on it in future. So, certain, the pony ending is what is best for the show in my book...to keep the viewership.

I'm actually a bit emotional! Lovely. I spent some time contemplating the pony today (what else is there to think about while in Excel Hell?), and honestly, if we get what we want in some form, I will cry like a bitch tomorrow. No two ways about it. This video reminds me why. :)

You do tend to make good use of Van Morrison. One of my favorite scenes of yours is from "Disheveled," when the Doctor and Rose are dancing in the console room to "Cleaning Windows." Loved it. And I really wish it was possible to get a copy of that song sung at the pace of the Youtube video you posted with it... the original sounds snailish in comparison.

Yes! You know...in this day and age...when all we get is heroic grandstanding, butt-kicking and angst for our entertainment...we forget how much heartbreak there is in a happy ending. It really causes me to weep uncontrollably, too. I certainly will be a mess if we get our pony. And yes, this vid makes me cry, too.

Oh, and how happy I am to find someone who loves Van Morrison. I just find his music very joyful and uplifting. And that Cleaning Windows version is available on one of his live albums. I can't remember which one, just now, but I will try to figure it out for you.

It's not original of me, I grant you, but I love "Moondance." Something about the old-ness of the sound, juxtaposed with lyrics that are obviously a seduction. And it's artful. I don't mind profanity generally, but I can appreciate creative ways of getting around the gory details in songs like that one. Its lyrics are about peripheral imagery (leaves, stars) and emotions ("and every time I touch you, you just tremble inside") - not just "Hey lady, let's get it on."

Perhaps I've just been forced to listen to Lady Gaga's "Love Game" too many times.

But enough of my gushing - If you can remember what album that version of "Cleaning Windows" is on, I'd be super appreciative. :D

Oh dear I really shouldn't watch these things. I'm all weepy and have been for a couple of days, dreading what is coming. I still miss nine but Ten oh God there won't be enough tissues in the house. I miss Ten and Rose too. It's a great video but oh here I go again.

And oh, yes, I have missed Ten and Rose and I so very much dread a final sell out of them in this finale. I hope RTD doesn't do that, at least. Because it is going to be hard enough just to know that we won't have any more Tennant.
