Doctor Who Vid: No One Is To Blame

This is a bit of a departure for me as this vid was made to order and is not technically a Rose/Ten vid. It is about Ten's basic mindset. All of the companions are featured, though Rose is definitely the "love interest" of the piece. The original concept for this video comes from a picture post by
pacejunkie. I added a bit more guilt to old Ten than was originally intended, I think, and I had to use a different selection of clips in some cases...but the main ideas come through, I hope.

A Tenth Doctor Vid
Artist: Howard Jones
Concept: Pacejunkie
Spoilers: To S4 Journey's End
Ten consoles himself that personal happiness is impossible and no one is to blame for his sorrows.

And finally, a link to the musical pic spam that started it all. It is far better in concept than what I was capable of delivering in vid, given the frustrations of linking music to clips.

Date: 2009-06-24 04:05 pm (UTC)I am rather proud of the destruction of Gallifrey sequence, myself. I'm tickled you liked it, too.
Overall, this was lots of fun and I think it would be a huge help to vidders if more people did musical pic spams if they want something vidded. Thanks for the inspiration.

Date: 2009-06-24 06:09 pm (UTC)Though, unlike you and nonlinearmusing up there, I hear this song every damn day on the Muzak at work. XD Perhaps that's the same reason it was on her mind.
I'm glad you found it well done...
Date: 2009-06-24 07:36 pm (UTC)But, doesn't that scene with the Master and the Hand give you hope?
It makes me very happy, because it does seem like RTD has a plan that includes the metacrisis. The hand (or A hand) is also prominently featured as the Master fails to regenerate. And RTD could still link everything together...Bad Wolf Rose seeing the future, Dalek Caan seeing the future...both of them pushing events forward...the true meaning of the Doctor/Donna and his song ending...the Master creating a new body for himself...and Ten 2 being the Doctor's new body at regeneration or sometime before that even if they switch places. It all works so brilliantly...it almost has to be true.
And I also enjoyed that I could avoid using Ten 2 in that final shot...because that's what really makes me want to kick Ten in the ankles...that forelorn Rose...watching him leave her after all she's done for him...after he promised not to leave her...and frankly, after he ran full tilt to her arms the moment he saw her.

Date: 2009-06-25 03:27 am (UTC)Also, ::hug:: Now now. He's kicking himself plenty without us helping, no matter how extremely tempted we are. Extremely. Hell, that's probably why a lot of people went over to Ten II in the first place; they were so furious with the original, their subconscious couldn't reconcile it, and they went with the lighter option of liking the new reality instead of brooding over what could have been. Whereas we stay furious but have higher hopes for the future. XD

(I'd rather be furious though. ;-) )
