Animal Behavior--Who Says Stalking Is An Instinct?

Stalking skittering things is supposed to be instinctual for cats. So much so that cat owners all over the world sport injuries thanks to the unexpected pounce. But this kitten is having more of a movie housewife reaction to rodents in her bed. EEK!

Though you will note that, right at the end there, we see the usual perk up of a predator who notices furtive behavior when the prey disappears quickly. Kitten instincts kick in at the end. Either that or she just enjoys a rousing game of peek-a-boo and has seen the hamster potential at last.
