David's Daily Mayo Interview

I had to turn it off because it started giving really big spoilers away about the series. But I do like that the conversation got really out in the open about the Doctor fancying people. And I love the way David got a little squirmy on the spot there about sex and Rose. For those of you avoiding spoilers...really...I can't say what else happened after about 6 minutes into the 28 but that was more than enough for me to turn it off. So, I am obviously choosing to wait to listen to this until later...

...but when pressed about the Rose/Doctor relationship...David gives his usual comments about it definitely being a love story. The interesting thing here was that the conversation was skirting the sexuality issues, too. Which sort of settles the whole "who would the Doctor sleep with" question...because apparently, David just doesn't want any of us to think that the Doctor was shagging Rose in the TARDIS. He said, "We like to remain ambiguous about that." And talked about it being a love story without "the nasty bits"...and well, the main things is...he's definitely taking a very firm stand on Rose being the one the Doctor loves and I liked that we are presented with the idea that it is no longer "controversial." Hmmmm? Really?
