Okay...I know that lots of people have their money on Noah Bennet. Could be him, with modern technology, but he was present when Claire got a call...and clearly not texting her.

Personally, I think it might be someone we haven't seen in a little while...maybe Nikki...having survived the fire...or Claude Raines, the invisible man played by our own Christopher Eccleston.

Oh...Nikki's son is a great bet. And while he's just a kid...he was very resourceful and older than we suspected, I think. As a matter of fact, I believe that's why we haven't seen him...because he was going through a growth spurt and growing up too fast for the camera.

I was actually thinking about this last night after watching the episode and came to the same conclusion as [livejournal.com profile] yearn4themoon - I think it's Micah Sanders. His ability with machines would allow him to tap into everything Nathan's group is doing and warn the others. That kind of real-time hacking from the last episode seems like the sort of thing only he would be capable of.

Weirdly, when I just went to IMDB.com to double check his name and look for other possibles, I saw that he was credited as being in the last episode. I don't recall seeing him, though. Maybe he was supposed to be, but they cut it? Hmmm...curious.

It would be awesome if it was Claude, but I doubt it was him.

On another note...didn't Clare's mom kick ass?! \o/

Claire's mom always kicks ass. I remember thinking about how pathetic she was in Season 1...and then it turned out they were constantly wiping her mind and she started to kick ass. And everytime she seems like this twitchy old lady...she turns around and shows you why Noah loves her so much. I love that about this show.

Could be Micah, could also be Hana Gitelman. Both have computer powers, and she exists as a consciousness in computers these days after her body was destroyed.

That's my bet. I think it's Micah and Hana teaming up together.

I was beginning to think it would be too good to be true for the writers to actually remember a story line they had set up way back in season one, but it's getting less and less likely to be anyone else.

I think I am going for Micah as well now. It makes the most sense. And Hana would be fab as a helper.

Hana as a helper? Seriously? No. If anything, Hana is pulling the strings and Micah is the helper.

If you read the graphic novels, you'll see that she's already had experience with this sort of thing, and she certainly has the drive. Micah, powers aside, is just a kid. I would never in a million years believe he was capable of masterminding this kind of operation.

Besides, Micah's powers were "I can make anything electronic do what I tell it to." Hana is "I'm hooked into the internet 24/7 with my brain." She knows everything that's going on. Not to mention we've seen her communicate with people using pop up messages out of nowhere before.

Okay...she can be more than a helper. I haven't read the graphic novels. Nor have I taken part in the online story, though when the television show got choppy I tried to make sense of it by going to the online materials. That didn't work for me. So, my opinion of Hana is based on that one scene in a shack with another marginalized guy and so I didn't see her as a major player. However, she could well be a major player in the story to come and, of course, Micah is still quite young. My feeling was the death of his mother might have matured him. Also, the actor went through a growth spurt just as he was pulled from the show...so, I can see him taking some initiative and maybe locating Hana in the machine and helping her establish more of an identity for the television viewers.

Since you know a lot about Hana...

I should say the one scene I remember her from is that scene in the shack with Ted. Ted, who was doomed in my eyes from the moment he started sparking and so didn't really fascinate me. She may have been around a bit more than that...but really I scarcely remember her. In fact, I could even be thinking of someone else. I had to wrack my brain when people mentioned her as I didn't quite remember her name. Sorry about that. But if it does turn out to be her...I will look at her bio and backstory.

Yes, she was only a bit character in the tv show, which makes most people not think of her, but she was a big player in the online graphic novels. Her mind acts like a computer and interprets emails, text messages and satellite signals being sent wirelessly across the world. So basically she makes the perfect spy and Bennet has used her as such several times. Hana is a third-generation Israeli soldier and was an Army Intelligence officer in the Mossad for some time. She is also well-trained in espionage and tactical planning.

If you want the quick intro, you can just read the wiki on her.
But if you want the full thing, here's the online graphic novels with her in them. WIRELESS chapters 17 -8 which is in chapters 13 -16.
chapters 27-18 Chapter 21, THE PATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS. Chapter 23 - FAMILY MAN. WAR BUDDIES, Chapter 24-29.
Chapter 33-34, THE DEATH OF HANA GITELMAN
chapters 37-28
She was last seen calling herself "Wireless" talking to Micah online when his dad was in the hospital.

She seems the most likely person I've seen to be Rebel.

As further proof, in the first season alternate future "Five Years Gone", those with special abilities are deemed threats to the rest of the world, and Hana is seen working with Mr. Bennet to protect evolved humans by changing their names and providing them with the means to cover up the fact that they have abilities. She is later killed by Matt Parkman who is now working as head of the Department of Homeland Security.

I agree with fennelwink - Though I think it's far more likely that it's Hana Gitelman. The Heroes back info used to say that she was involved in this kind of thing after what happened when she met up with Parkman and Ted Sprague. And her back story would allow for them to use her character without bringing her back on the show in person, which saves money and makes sense since the actress who plays her is on that other show with Nathan Fillion now.

Though I miss Christopher Eccleston and would love to see him on Heroes again...

I would love for it to be CE or Micah. I'd been pondering future Peter or Noah, but the other two are better.

Future selves is another good idea. But people have made a great case for Micah...and he could have Hana helping him as well. Also, turning the computers against people is a great idea for the show. The show has gotten a bit tighter in this part. Like when the boy and Sylar teamed up and then got nowhere immediately, I was upset. Now, if they part ways it seems more organic. For the last two parts, the storyline has been very choppy...things start and then stop before reaching any conclusion...and you feel like there's no point in trying to work it all out.

But hopefully they are getting their mojo back.

Yeppers. To stir myself to feel more interest...I must have some belief that the show is actually going somewhere with all of this set-up. I confess I was very upset about another BOMB situation. And I hope that Hiro and Matt soon have something else to show us than things blowing up in the future. This is why I found the plague idea so very fascinating. It was a scary future without bombs...but we never saw it play out and it became a small wandering storyline. I should get the S2 finale disc and see the graphic of how it would have played out, because I do think Heroes is a potentially fascinating show.
