I hope that you and yours made it through the last few days safely. I was just speaking to Miss M a few days ago on chat about the worst tornado season on record and how I felt this one has gone on and on and on. And with the combination of tornadoes and floods...I don't know if I should tell you to seek higher ground or go underground. It seems no place is safe out there this season.

Sandbag yourselves and keep your heads down and your powder dry.

Hugs for you all.

Just a devout reader of yours here...
The weather certainly has been rough in the Midwest lately. I live in northern Minnesota and we don't really got much of the really bad stuff here. Not summer storms anyways. We have a far bigger risk for snowstorms that dump three feet in two days (happened this last April, right after almost all of the snow we had before had melted).
My parents live in the Twin Cities metro area though and they've had at least four separate incidents of tornado's in their area. I keep telling my mom she should move up here. I don't think there has even been a tornado in the area I live in, ever. Something about being in a bowl and having all the trees around us makes it near impossible for one to form.

I put pics up... and then I went to my happy place... and put it more pics.

I'll make sure to keep it safe. Thanks for spreading the word. I hope the rest of the Midwest continues to do the same! Iowa, Wisconsin, KS, Nebraska, Oklahoma and parts of TX have all been slammed recently...

We're okay!

I live in Cedar Rapids, IA right in the middle of it but we're fine. A little shower deprived (although we can now have one if we don't do laundry!) I think my step-daughter and her husband's house is underwater but we won't know til they let anyone back into the area. My inlaws stayed with us but they had only a few inches of water in the basement even though though the water came right up to thier house.

It's been a crazy week!
