? Could Angel be responsible for the wary light in her eyes? Wes didn’t want to believe it. Why yes, actually, in a round about way Angel is completely responsible. Afterall he's Buffy's "one True Love, and Soulmate" Spike doesn't mean shit in the fact of that right?

Well...we must remember Buffy is falling back on her habitual thinking patterns here. And she's not fooling anybody. Tara sees right through her. But yes, Angel is also responsible for part of Spike's pain. Glad you enjoyed the chapter.

I must admit I didn't expect the Wes/Spike encounter to progress the way it did, but it's great reading nevertheless. Your descriptions of Wes and his 'technique' are hilarious. And poor Spike... it looks like this pregrancy is bringing on a whole slew of side effects, and this could be just the beginning....

I really enjoyed the Tara/Buffy interaction, especially Tara's ability to see through Buffy. I'm glad she's playing a vital role in this fic.

One of the reasons I took on Sweet Spot was so I could let Tara shine. I was so very proud of her in Dead Things and Older and Far Away and then BAM she was gone. Of course, Whedon is notorious for doing just that sort of salvage a character then destroy it kind of thing. I had always known Tara would die in S6...but suddenly I saw WAAAAY more possiblities for HER than I saw for Willow. So, SS-AU isn't just about B/S but is also about how TARA could have been Buffy's first ADULT FRIEND.

Also...glad you liked the Wes/Spike passages...I do want you to feel for poor Spike...not overtly sympathetic because as Tara notes it is kind of his fault. But he pays in interesting ways for his use of magic...yes!

And Riley! OH, NO!

On trying to read it on your website, I still can't on Internet Explorer for some reason but I downloaded the free (IOW, I'm not registering) version of Netscape Navigator and it comes up perfectly. From now on when something like this happens, I'll just copy the url and try it on netscape and then beg if neither one works.

...I am registered because I have Windows XP and Microsoft owns my ass. Everytime I want to use my ass I have to get a signed permission slip from Bill. Also, I am upgraded by force every couple of days. Currently, this means I can no longer save pictures (assuming I can even see them and don't get the little red X instead).

BTW, if you or anyone reading this knows how to allow save JPG or GIF pics with AOL 7 and/or the latest version of IE please let me know.

With them owning your ass and having to get permission, it must be incredible inconvenient if you have to go to the bathroom.


I have windows 98 ,(old second hand computer), that might be why I it didn't work without netscape.

The only ways I know how to save pictures are right-clicking or looking around for the picture of the disk with the mouse.

BTW, my cat Topaz says hello, at least I'm assuming that's why she walked across the keyboard.
