That's right...there are two parts up in very quick order! You are not imagining things.

For the best continuity, these two parts should be read in one sitting, because that is how I wrote them. You don't HAVE to read them like that (LOL), but that is how they were conceived--as a single thoughtline.

If you feel confused about what is going on, the best advice I can give is to read parts 26 & 27 together. I expect you to be saying, "WTF?" at the very end, but the time lapsing and what the Doctor and Rose are looking for and need should become very apparent if 26 & 27 are taken as a single part (or a series of vignettes--scenes from a very long journey).

Several comments are on the right track with what is happening at the end.

I thought it made sense?

But... I'm also a bit nutty in the brain meats. ;) And... I read them pretty close together...

Oddly enough... I think 26 has become a favorite chapter. I think what I love most... is that there are parts of this story that... normally I would genuinely DISLIKE. Seriously. By all logical circumstances... I would. I don't. I have no idea WHY I don't. I think its because it all works Its a journey... the story as a whole is brilliant and it grows.

I'd make the rec to read it all at once... but really... I think that would ruin certain chapters. I'd read it the way you have it seperated for the "All previous chapters" links. Read the first 3 in succession. Read the next 4 in succession... that sort. It works quite well that way... seperate journeys make seperate stories. ... I digress. I'm agreeing with you on the way your story. Its always best when its read the way the author intended.

I didn't find it all that confusing. I think it would be easier to READ that way... but I caught the transitions and jumps. I found one or two where I went "wait... I missed something" and went back (mostly in 26) but I understood the timelines?

Maybe I've read enough of the greats, but it made sense to me too. Its not black & white. It was never meant to be.There isn't any straight lines or cliches. It sprouts out to a bigger picture, creating an image we've all seen or will see(hopefully) at some point in our own lives. Its the song that soul mates sing when they've found each other. Or have I spent too many hours awake?
