I have new friends. And I passed the 280 milestone. YAY! But whenever I face a surge like this...I always wonder where my new friends are coming from, especially when they suddenly appear during a creative drought. I have not posted new fiction or new vids or anything remotely interesting in some time. And yet, five people have found me. Also, I've noticed I do get temporary friends whenever something happens in the Who Fandom that fanwankers feel I might comment on and thereby give them something to talk about for a bit.

Has something happened, I wonder?

As I am struggling to be spoiler-free...don't answer that if something has.

But if you are friend #278, 279, 280, 281 or 282...and you are simply here for the fic or something...wave at me and help alleviate my compulsion to check for DW news. I know of one person who recently announced they were going to friend me and I'm sure the others are just checking things out around here.

I'm a secret fanwank mole who only pretends to find you fatally attractive in order to get first sight of the sex scenes in your fics - or am I?

I did just rec you on [livejournal.com profile] fangirl_tour, so that could have something to do with it. *sheepish*

Ah...things are explained. Thank you! I will stop feeling that I'm missing something. Well...I am missing your rec...was it nice? Should I go look at it?

Rae
trying to pretend she won't go look at it.

Maybe someone has recc'd your fic somewhere?

I follow stuff pretty closely and I haven't seen any huge spoilers for a week or two - there was some trailer speculation but no more than that. And in any case I think they're smart enough to film apparently conclusive scenes from the finale in public and then do something else completely in the studio - probably months ago.

But the fact that Graeme Harper directed the finale cheers me up no end.

Good answer! Someone DID recommend my fic somewhere. And someone also did email the spoiler. Why do they do that? Why? Anyway, it wasn't a spoiler as it turns out...I mean...it didn't really amount to anything. And I agree with you I think they will film some apparently shocking conclusions in the open...and the secret scenes ala Doomsday have probably already been filmed in private.

Oh, and I didn't know about Graeme Harper...but YAY! Graeme is our shipper friend.

Rae
hoping the amazingly obvious solution to all of this...is the one RTD is going to go with and make us all happy.

If D/R appears to falter in S4, I'm relying on you to form some brilliant theory about why it will still work out for the ship in the end. So... I guess I'm here for your unflagging optimism?

I'm going to slap some optimism on you right now and say that they will only appear to falter just prior to Billie coming back because Russell means to make it really emotionally uplifting and stuff.

See? *clings to you*

However, if the Doctor cries again without Rose to hold him, I can't be responsible for breaking in pieces. Be kind, RTD.

If there are to be so cruel as to send Rose back to her parallel universe again, then they had better not do it without letting her see the Doctor again.

There's too much unfinished business between those two, and that interrupted conversation in DÃ¥rlig Ulv Stranden is just the tip of it.

Thanks...re: icon. Much credit goes to the marvelously talented [livejournal.com profile] avoria who created the icons from the diary. I just had this idea to put them into animated form.

And I suggest nibbling the chocolate Tennants. We have cloned Tennants and android Tennants for the shagging.

Well I'm not quite sure how to tell what number I am but I did friend you last night so I'm assuming this applies to me. I friended you because you always have something interesting to say... You're fanfic (particularly disheveled)is having a continuous battle in my mind over which I like best it or the actual series. (Although considering it is so tied in with events within the series I prefer to just think of it as the bit the BBC couldn't budget for.)

Also I'm preparing for my imminent nervous breakdown for if they stuff up the whole Rose coming back thing and it's always nice to have like minded people to commiserate with. :P (And maybe if someone wins lotto they could help to pay for the rest of our therapy bills, you know like a disaster relief fund.)

Mostly I just like you -in a non wierd not stalking you kinda way- And part of my new years resolution was to actually try and use my livejournal rather than just using it to read interesting fic or other things of interest to me..Yes thats right people beware of babbling, rambling omg-she-never-shuts-up! Commenter.

I like those kind of commenters and so I must also like you. And I thought you might be one of the five. And so...lo...I have done the fanwankers an injustice as I believe all numbers are accounted for. SIGH!

And apparently there really is no spoiler news...which I was afraid of...so also...good.

I agree...I am going to have some kind of nervous breakdown. And that's along with believing that they already have some super secret ending filmed with Billie and David months ago that only six people know about...just like for Doomsday. Everyone bought the line that she was dying in Doomsday...as a spoiler. And I think feeding us the Master bit last year could have been a set up for fooling everyone this year.

But we will see. I feel that bringing Rose and Billie back only to cock it all up and tell us something lame like...1) They've moved on or 2) Isn't it good that he regenerates and forgets...is all going to disappoint the kiddies. Because it seriously would disappoint me. Kids don't need realism. Kids need escapism. And so do the rest of us every so often. I think TV in general has gotten so ruddy gloom and doom it's not even entertaining anymore.

You should see...and perhaps...given your choice of career you will see...the sort of tripe they are passing off as Young Adult Literature now. It's either all about faeries or its tragic melodrama. I can only stomache so many "slice of life" dramas about Mum being an alcoholic and Dad dying young and the 15 year old pregnant and off to prison before I want to give up reading all together.

Rae
ranting along with you. And thanks for the kind words about Disheveled. I tend to think of it as the extras on the DVD...you just have to find that elusive Easter Egg to see them. ;->

Well, I'm pretty much obsessed with Disheveled and reread it all the time while waiting for new bits. Is that a good enough reason to friend someone, because I think your awesome? lol. I always mean to talk on your other posts but then I get suddenly shy. :D

Well.... I would be one of those who reads your fic and only just realized I had never actually friended you, even though I occasionally wander over to your journal from time to time on the off chance you may have updated and I just hadn't seen it yet. ^.^

Thus is why I commented on your spoiler avoidance post before I had actually friended you.

So, Hi. I'm Milieva.
