Vid Rec: Umbrella Doctor/Rose

So, David Tennant said he liked Rhianna and the Klaxons number at the Brits and I went to YouTube to check it out and found I liked it, too. Then, I went looking for a Doctor/Rose vid to the song...as it is very Doctor/Rose in the lyrics. And voila...I found a lovely vid but not to Rhianna's version of the song. Check it out, it makes me long for reunion hugs.

Aaaaaah. I agree. That was really lovely. And I liked the softer feel that the cover gave the song.

The vid was really well done. I had visceral reactions at some points. ;) I think my ovaries throbbed at that one clip of specs-donning-Doctor from RoS. And the later angsty scenes totally had me tearing up.

Check it out, it makes me long for reunion hugs.

There had better be. And a snog or two, at least.

Yeah...see? I get that ovary throbbing thing with them, too, from time to time. And it is unprecidented with me. I'm in love with them as a couple. I just think they should be having Time Lord babies at the end of Ten's run. There's something about two people so perfectly suited to one another and happy with one another that gives the whole world hope, in my often less than humble opinion.

Me too. I cry at practically anything, but other sorts of physical reactions...not so much, usually.

The scenario I don't dare dream of (except I obviously do, as I'm going to write it down) is that at the end of Ten's run, the Doctor and Rose go off to run-for-their-lives together for the rest of her life. And that the next season, the Doctor's alone again 'cause Rose has died - of old age - but that's okay, because he got to live out her whole life with her, and he realized it was worth it.

Timebabiez would, of course, be a superbonus. AND, they'd make for great future companions, wouldn't they? Having characters that can regenerate has got to be a huge plus, from the simply POV of the longevity of the show...

Honestly, I love to see them just smile at each other - and I think Chris, Billie, and David all do it equally well - those smiles that light up their whole faces, because the Doctor and Rose just love each other so much.

I'm certainly not averse to hugs/kisses/snogs - not at all. Both those smiles - like at the end of TSP/TIP....Make me want to jump up and down. ;)

We are of one mind on the sending him off to live out her life. There is simply no reason not to do it...and as you say...afterward...he will still be alone...and the story continues...but he'll have that added depth of a greater understanding. Also, he'll be traveling because he wants to travel, again...and not because he simply has no place to call home. And I like to think...as you...that one day he'll have grandchildren as companions again.

May RTD hear our collective plea and make it so.
