Hugs for David Tennant
Feb. 7th, 2008 07:01 pmIn the Feb. 7th edition of Doctor Who Adventure Magazine, David Tennant talks about what sort of relationship the Doctor will have with his new companion...and I won't tell you what he said about THAT...because that would be a spoiler...but...he did say this about our (his and mine and yours, too) favorite couple...showing, once again, his remarkable consistancy:
"We had a love story with the Doctor and Rose...and an unrequited love story with the Doctor and Martha..."

Bless the man, he speaks the truth. Hugs for DT, indeed!

Date: 2008-02-08 12:30 am (UTC)And this is another reason I am optimistic about our reunion with Rose...because David is excited about it...he can't keep the smile off his face.
That is true, and I for one am glad of it.
but I think if it was going to be a tragic unraveling of the love story...then David and Billie would be able to hold in the smirks.
I hope it won't come to another Doomsday; one of those was too many.
Since they both hold fiercely to the idea of the Doctor/Rose OTL.
As well they should. (Ten/Rose has been my OTP for ages; I have my issues with Nine/Rose but I can handwave if I have to.)
I don't know if you've seen any of the Season 4 trailers, but there's a picture of Ten popping up from behind a barrier of some sort in what looks like an office ... and he looks happier in that one picture than I have ever seen him post-Doomsday. Is Rose, finally, the person he is so happy to see?

I do think he's very happy in that scene over the cubicle...but I didn't think that was about Rose for some reason...it looks like he's surprising someone...and I think it might relate to what Jack said in TW...about offices being romantic, exotic places...the one with the tears in his eyes seems more like a first glimpse of Rose shot. I used to think the over the cubicle one was for Donna...but now I'm not sure.
Maybe it's for Sarah Jane...he would have that goofy grin for surprising her, too. And I assume when she's at her newspaper office she's in a cubicle.

I hope they actually let him say it, this time, I really do, and that they come to a resolution that won't tear him apart as Doomsday did.
But it's Who, and I have my doubts.
the one with the tears in his eyes seems more like a first glimpse of Rose shot.
I wondered at first whether the "come with me" at the beginning of the (post-Christmas Special) trailer was to Rose ... it's a broken man that's asking, and it would fit (sort of). Of course, "RUN!" would be another good line for him at that point.

Date: 2008-02-08 02:02 am (UTC)he simply says that it is time to have NO love story. So, he's saying there won't be a Doctor/Donna love story...even though there will be very emotional stories and Donna is swept away by the wonder of the Doctor because she should have taken him up on his offer to travel with him.

Rose's daughter is called Ygraine, or Y, sorta like the name of King Arthur's mother but with a Y. I did find one that is spelled that way. Y as she is called, has a sentient Tardis as well the younger brother of Lady Blue, both are are the offspring acourse of the Tardis. Hundreds of years apart. He is real name is Puss in Boots, as he was named by Y when she was three years old. Or Red as a nickname, or Red Boots. He is acourse is a cat with a long furry tail. He hates to a humanoid form, and if he does he is one with a mustache and red slick back hair. Red's traveling form, is also that of a Shinto Shrine with a torn curtain out front.

Date: 2008-02-08 02:10 am (UTC)Doctor/Jack I can take very well, Jack anyone I will take, because he is Jack and will flirt with anyone. I don't suppose in your verse Jack will show up later, and add a little spice to Rose and the Doctor as a one in a while lover ?
Acourse the Doctor might kill Jack, can the glowy thinks he uses for sex work on Jack ?
Because minus Rose and the Doctor, Jack is going to live as long or longer than them, and might come to know all 40 oddsome of the doctors. And all the Roses.

Date: 2008-02-08 02:15 pm (UTC)But haven't RTD,Billie and David or Chris always said that Doctor/Rose was a love story?
I just makes me so happy that David has said this around the same time that season 4 is being filmed, gives all us shippers hope that Rose's return will be a memorable one and happpy one.

Date: 2008-02-08 03:31 pm (UTC)I remember Nos saying when Billie left that it would only be a matter of a few months after Martha arrived that RTD and David would be talking about the Doctor's great love of Martha and Rose would be forgotten. And I said, I didn't think so because RTD was telling the Rose/Doctor love story all along. He's a very methodical Rose/Doctor shipper and I furthermore said, at that time...pre-Martha...that he wouldn't stop shipping even with Billie gone. I said Martha's unrequited love would be used as a foil to underline how much the Doctor loved Rose.
I should refer back to that post in a new one...because it was spot on to what happened. And it was spot on because I believed RTD to be a Rose/Doctor shipper. And I believed that because everyone connected with the show consistently said they were telling a love story. There is nothing ambiguous about a writer saying, "And they love one another, absolutely, unreservedly."
