Watch Jake 2.0 and have a good time...

Okay, I know this is a lost cause considering most of my LJ Friends are planning to watch Angel. And those who AREN'T are watching The West Wing...but consider this...

Joss Whedon will work you all over like a down and out sparring partner, hook you on Spike/Fred or Spike/Angel or Spike Getting Anything But the Shaft, and then walk over your battered psyche to get to work on Firefly the movie. Yes, and this from one of Whedon's staunchest supporters.

And Aaron Sorkin has been fired. That would be the Aaron Sorkin who created the West Wing and penned 81 of the past 83 episodes...and won every single emmy the show ever got...NBC FIRED HIM!

Not convinced, yet? Well...how about the three week wait you have until Angel starts up again...and the hardy video recorder...you could watch Jake 2.0 on UPN until Oct. 1st and then...if you get hooked...which you just might...record Angel and continue to watch Jake...afterall...you want to have Angel on tape anyway...right?

Jake is adorable...and I get the feeling, despite the substandard blond named Sarah, that Jake's writers know how to show a viewer a good time. Tonight was certainly a lot of fun...I didn't mean to get hooked, and I ended up sticking in a tape to show to other people...

And now...here I am pimping...come on...give up the pain...you can do it...

YAY! A convert...hopefully...

And hopefully, Jake doesn't tank in the next week or so as I have been talking it up and usually I only do that for stellar WRITING. This is kind of average, Alias/24 level writing but it is still endearing and engaging and really...like I said...a better time than I (a long term fan of Joss Whedon and Co.) have had in a long...loooong...time.

Yes, Jake 2.0 is on Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m.

And I, too, have a thing about watching my addictive show in real time...last year Angel was a big winner over West Wing...hands down a lot more fun. But JW's rather lame and downer ending for BtVS didn't satisfy me. Not after I invested 7 years in the idea of "growing up" and he has me reconsidering just how much pointless pain and suffering I am willing to take as a viewer.

So, yeah...give Jake your second VCR...he really is a fun date for a nerd-y guy with super-powers.

I got hooked on Jake 2.0 from the word go. I don't think we have to worry about the substandard blonde, though , when Jake was on a date with her he got jealous about the guy(later bad guy) who was a a date with the bright brunette.
