Here's a bit of fun. I was looking for other times when the Doctor has said "Take me to your leader." I know of Nine's and Ten's but I am pretty sure Four said it in either Robots of Death or Face of Evil. Anyway...while looking I stumbled across this list of quotes at IMDB.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056751/quotes

Some fun ones here...do you have others that you favor?

I'm partial to "I'm the Doctor, by the way! Run for you life."

And for an Old School Favorite...

"Will it believe you?"

"If it doesn't, I shall beat it into submission with my charm."

Some Old School faves:

"Anybody remotely interesting is mad, in some way or another."

"There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes." (probably my favorite Who quote ever)

"A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting."

"When I say 'run', RUN!" (said ever so many times in OSW)

Lessee...New Who:

"D'you know like we were saying? About the Earth revolving? It's like when you're a kid, the first time they tell you that the world's turning and you just can't quite believe it because everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it -- the turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour, the entire planet is hurtling around the Sun at sixty-seven thousand miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me. Clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go...That's who I am. Now forget me, Rose Tyler. Go home." (fell in love the Doctor all over again right there)

"Time travel is like visiting Paris. You can't just read the guidebook, you've got to throw yourself in. Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, get charged double and end up kissing complete strangers...or is that just me?"

"You can spend the rest of your life with me. But I can't spend the rest of mine with you. I have to live on. Alone. That's the curse of the Time Lords."

"Have you met the French? My...God they know how to party!"

"There was a war. A Time War. The Last Great Time War. My people fought a race called the Daleks for the sake of all creation. And they lost. We lost. Everyone lost. They're all gone now. My family. My friends. Even that sky. Oh, you should have seen it, that old planet... he second sun would rise in the south, and the mountains would shine. The leaves on the trees were silver, when they caught the light, every morning it looked like a forest on fire. When the autumn came, a brilliant glow though the branches..."

"They always survive while I lose everything..."

"Really shouldn't take that long just to reverse the polarity...Must be a bit out of practice." Heh. Love the Old School reference.

I did squee over the polarity reversing. But then, I am an Old Skool Dork. :hee:

liking your favorite quotes very much...oh, and adding one of my faves of Five..."Not hat people, are you? Either of you?"

Oh, seriously, I had to stop and rewind 'cause I was laughing and squeeing so much over that reference. XD

I am honestly SO psyched by my new hard drive. I'm going to be stocking up on Old Skool Who and refreshing myself on the whole thing. It's been ages since I watched most of them!

"You know, the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that need altering."

I have this in a notepad somewhere on my computer. Favorite quote in doctor who.

I just watched The Awakening with Five and this bit amused me:

Baddie: You speak treason!

Five: Fluently.

Another good line from there is "The toast of little Hodcombe" after "They burn the Queen of the May." I did love how fierce he was protecting Tegan...at the time, quite the emotional outburst for him. Though we have no established it is common practice with companions.

And isn't that also where Turlough says, "We're running out of places to run." And Tegan says, "Story of our lives." ?

Hard to beat, "Oh, so you're going to kill me. What a finely-tuned response to the situation."

But my absolute favourite is the Terror of the Zygons one: "You can't rule the world in hiding. You have to come out and wave a tentacle sometimes."

LMAO at the Zygon one. Didn't remember that at all. But while we are on the subject of finely-tuned responses...I do like this exchange between the Master and Three:

The Master: It's always the innocent bystanders who suffer most.
The Third Doctor: What's that supposed to mean?
The Master: [aims pistol] I'm afraid you're about to become the victims of stray bullets.
