I'm British but I can still give thanks for all the people whose stories and comments brighten my life, yourself included.

The first ever DW episode aired on Nov 23 1963. And it will still be Thanksgiving in much of the USA when it's Nov 23 here, so plenty for us to celebrate this side of the pond, too.

Are there going to be Doctor Who Anniversary celebrations? I know that they mentioned something about the anniversary during the Children in Need broadcast: 44 years. Next year will be a milestone, of course.

And, yeah, we hardly need a special day to give thanks, I guess.

I've heard nothing official but I can't see RTD ignoring the occasion somehow. According to The Sun we are going to get a grand battle with Davros, with the Doctor aided and abetted by Martha, Donna, Rose and Sarah Jane.

Maybe it'll be set in Detroit in 1963 with Ten and his backing group "The Companions" singing "At least out loud I won't say I'm in love".

The last bit was my own speculation. The first paragraph, being the Sun, should be taken as Gospel Truth ;-)

If not for them, I would never have learned that the new Prime Minister married an alien. Nor would I be able to keep up with all of the werewolf babies born in Yorkshire.

I don't care for the spoilers...not searching them out...but last rumor I heard had Billie back for six episodes, leading up to David's regeneration on New Years Day 2010. Personally, I place it at Billie back for 4 episodes...I think if they're getting her they will want her to do those 3 specials in 2009. And even with my happy life reunion idea...David regenerates for the 2009 Christmas Special and we start 2010 with Doctor Eleven...and his granddaughter...because really...isn't that how we SHOULD celebrate the 50th anniversary?

I did, thank you! Course, I'm still waiting for your scathing review of Chapter 21.

And did you hear that the Sunday Express reported Billie has signed for the three episodes in 2009? My sources tell me that the Express is a step above the Mirror but this is still not a definitive answer for us. And, of course, even if she is signed...we still have no assurance it won't all go terribly wrong in the storyline.

Constructive criticism, hey? Sounds like your angling for a beta job. ;-> Of course, you are probably dead on about the chapter needing work. My beta babes were all busy and I am looking down the barrel of the Christmas Special deadline. I no longer have the luxury of extreme polishing. However, I do plan to go back and polish the end and then the whole thing once I've beaten RTD to the punch.

Which reminds me...back to work for me.
