The Bushies keep insisting that there's progress, but every day there's just more and more that's bad news. UK is now drawing down it's troops even more (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/7023735.stm), and we don't have enough troops with which to replace them, leaving the south more an more dangerous than ever (increasing Shia on Shia militia violence), leaving our supply lines to Kuwait more and more vulnerable.

And now the only thing that the weak and just about useless Iraqi government can agree on is that they want Blackwater out of Iraq (http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5jzixVUdWc9apDuVidRdsSfKyMsOg). And instead of Bush and Condi coming to Iraq to pressure the Iraqi government into finally getting it's act together and make some political progress, they had to expend all their political capital in getting Blackwater's heinie out of hot water. Thereby making the Iraqi goverment even more weak and useless in the eyes of the Iraqi people, because they can't make Blackwater leave even when they want to.

And we don't have enough troops to replace Blackwater's mercenary force either (not to mention that they are poaching troops from the military to join their company, and then they get paid 3 or 4 times more). It's completely insane, it is.
