Already counting you in, Queenie. Anybody else?

I am assuming they are not really related. But, also, since they are not aware of this...so there is an overtone of squee in this one. The only consolation being they too are squeed. Sorry about that.

Oooh... I love that you're including the "Errr..." factor for this fic. I often find those to be the most amusing to read for me. (Awkwardness ahoy!) :)

Thought you might be interested to hear about this. Some people lock their posts when it comes to Peter/Claire fic. Why? Because some people are massive tattlers (none of us, of course) and love censorship, and sometimes LJ sucks when it comes to practicing discretion. *sigh... I still can't believe videos get flagged on Youtube just for having same-sex kissing, whereas a video where a guy's head gets blown up doesn't.

It's violence I abhor. Sex (even if it's crazy graphic) I can handle easily enough.

You should totally crack a joke about the Victorian or Elizabethan era. You know, because of all the breeding within the family. ;)

... I don't do Heroes, but perhaps you mean squick?

Squee is the cry of a rabid fangirl. *g*

Either do or do not...

...there is no 'try.' She who cannot beta...should not beta.

:pfft:

And yes, you are right...I probably do mean squick. Thanks for the mini-beta catch.

If you still need someone, I might be interested. It's so wrong, and yet...if they really are related, would the writers and producers let them get away half the stuff they do? Besides, anything to support quality fic, and I love Heroes.

My point exactly...also...

Tim has already acknowledged he might do Claire/Peter later on...which seemed to indicate he wasn't really invested in the relatives idea. It seemed more like a plot device to me anyway...there is no love lost between Claire and the Petrelli Family.

The more I think on it the more I believe the older generation is working the younger generation like pawns in a larger game. Which means my theory about Peter being adopted OR the alternative theory of Nathan not being Claire's dad could be true. If I was Claire's trailer park dwelling Mama...I might think it wise to claim my baby belongs to the richest kid I know. On the other hand...I can't see Nathan not insisting on a paternity test before he shelled out cash.

I mean, clearly Nathan had a relationship with Meredith, and everyone believes easily enough that Nathan and Claire are biologically related. Because If I was Nathan I would have gotten the test if suddenly she claimed our kid was alive. But Peter definitely might be adopted. They said in the finale that they had all kinds of plans for him originally, and all the parents seem to be involved in the Company including Mama Petrelli, so who is to say she wasn't given Peter to take care of?

I like your theory about the older generation. They've taken the newbies, studied their powers, and it's quite logical to think that they could be doing it all for some bigger purpose. I just want to know if it's good or sinister.

...but...maybe you should send it again. To Rabid1st@yahoo.com.

Can't decide if I'm going to make this more than one part, yet.

I'm very curious about how the writers are going to handle the whole Peter/Claire vibe later. Will they decide to push it and eliminate the whole "we're related" aspect? Or, will they try to have the vibe disappear completely and have it amount to nothing more than a crush? (Honestly, I do think it's still early enough for the writers to do that successfully if they're really careful about it. I've seen other shows do it without totally ruining the characters.)

But then, I generally don't get all that invested into ships on TV shows. At this moment, I think the only ship I'd be upset over if they never got together is Jim and Pam on the Office. (I'll probably feel the same way about Chuck and Ned on Pushing Daisies too.)

Are you still finishing off this story because it was AWESOME but it doesn't seem to have gone anywhere.

Shell.

Yeah...still working on Disheveled. I wouldn't abandon it for Heroes. I just don't have much to say just now. My muse is misbehaving and I thought I might jump start her if I worked on something else. I am thinking that I might have to skip ahead in Disheveled. The problem I'm facing with it is that the next part of the story I've already told in Suicide Blonde...and while I know there should be fall-out for that...I can't seem to click with the Doctor's emotions. Until I click with him...the chapter is nothing but tripe.

Sorry it has taken so long.
