Somebody...some sweet, wonderful, uber-talented person is making me a bit of fanart. I am sure I know who that person is...but then...I am equally sure I kept the e-mail with the sneak preview to answer when I had a spare minute for gushing.

However...an exhausted search of all of your posts turns over no fanart...I see no sign of the sneak preview. Do I have the person wrong in my mind...? I do have several artistically inclined fans...maybe I should thank all of them! Could it be I am an idiot who deletes important messages before I answer them...? Hard to get this one to look like I have a working brain.

Let me say in my own defense...I am heavily medicated just now for pain and really...I can't remember 8th grade. <<--not my teacher...or anything else about it. If you knew me in 8th grade...I've forgotten you. ;->

And...if you are making me a bit of fanart...please know that the sneak preview was FABULOUS...and I truly adore you for doing this...and I'm sorry my brain seems to have forgotten where I put the e-mail...and/or post...that I meant to answer.

Well... I *am* trying to get this picture done for you... and posted a wee teaser... but there are probably tons of people doing such things for you, and my mind isn't working right now anyways (trying to get my holiday cards done + took a bitty pill myself this morning, argh)

So, not sure if it's me you're talking about (and my mind is saying "probably not kat, you're weird), but... I'm going to try to have it out to you by the end of the weekend.

KAT! It was you! I thought it was you but then I thought...no, it couldn't be. Because I do not associate you with 'artist'...but I remembered that when I saw the sample I was all...okay, repeat to yourself...ARTIST!

But I looked at all of your recent posts...I know that it only had a little link with HERE on it, so maybe I missed it...but, I couldn't find it. Then, I thought...maybe it was email...

...then, I thought...or...it was one of the people I know are artists like Ramblinsuze or Jei but I just THINK I was like..."Oh, you are an artist, neat!" Or it was Sensiblecat and not Swankkat. Why can I not find this post? WHY? Was it an email?

Anyway...I did indeed adore the snippet. And I intended to gush quite a bit at a later time when I had some brain. Seriously, at this time of year with everything going on...and the pain meds...I am so foggy it's nuts. I go without pain meds at work...but then I hit them hard when I get home. And it is definitely affecting my response times.

GUSHING-->> I love the richness of detail on that Rose snippet you sent. Very few people do Rose justice in my less than humble opinion and you have her down very well. I can't wait to see more.

But I will wait...'cause you appear to be busy...and that's fine. Lord knows I know how that is.

*embarassed laughing* It was a comment I made to your post that started off with Jackie's line to Pete v.2 about "There was never anyone else" etc... It was only meant to be proof that I was indeed working on it.

Its funny, I haven't sat down to do a serious bit of art since sometime last year - a lot of down and depressing things happened and I just felt no urge to draw, paint, whathaveyou. It used to only take me a few days to spit something out - but now, when I want to do things right (plus I'm outside of my normal style doing this), I find it's taking me much longer. And I apologize for that! It doesn't help that my graphics program gives me fits when I try to multitask.

But thank you for the very kind comments on the snippet - Rose and Ten have such distinctive features, its very hard to get them just right. I hope that I eventually do them (and the scene!) justice.

Off to the post for now. Gosh, it's chilly out right now (at least in my neck of the NE, we had 20s last night, brrr), so I want to get back to my warm home soon and finish that picture!

I wish it was me, but my fanart muse has been remarkably absent (though I'd *love* to do some stuff for your story). Hmm. I'll have to find her and kick her in the butt a bit.
