...is with the beta babes. So...soon...we hope.

Sorry for the fake out. This is only a warning shot across your collective bows. A "Watch This Space" announcement.

But I thought you could all use an update.

Meep! I've been checking here every day, hoping for an update, and when I read that subject title...You are a tease!

Thanks for the update, though! Can't wait to read it.

Don't cry! It's at the betas...soon it will be here. I won't let the equally evil beta babes delay it one moment more than necessary. I just felt you might want to clear your calendar...of...you know...any unnecessary business.

Rae
wondering because you are the second person that said they had a heart attack...are my fans in need of cardiovascular care?

Disheveled is indeed more neccesary than anything else going on in my life. :)

(Well, no, but since it doesn't take too long to read, it's worth procrastinating on other stuff.)

well, you see, i suppose it's rather hard for me to have a heart attack, since i distinctly remember giving you my still-beating and bloody heart as thanks for a previous update, LMAO. maybe i had a stroke instead... i think i still have a brain! :P

my calendar is so clear that i can hear crickets chirping and tumbleweed blowing by, haha.

*chews nails*

And I just noticed...

...you are one of John Mayer's disciples. I have this essay I planned to post on LJ about the radical philosophy of "Waiting on the World to Change." As a child of the 70's revolutionary mentality, I initially snorted at the words to that song.

"This," I said, "Is what we've come to. No more changing the world. Today's young people are just going to sit around and wait for the world to change."

But then...the more I thought about it...the more I thought that was maybe a better idea than anybody trying to change the world. In fact, if everyone who felt the world was injust or that it owed them something (instead of acting on their subjective impulses to make the world suit THEM) just sat down right now...and waited...maybe the world would change...and for the better.

All those people in war torn countries...someone killed your brother so you kill someone else's father...then they come after your sister. If instead...of all that pushing and changing...they just waited. Maybe the world would change.

Plus...you know...they could write some tunes...because that's a great album! ;->

"disciples" is a good word for it. i'm a guitar player, and i consider mayer to be one of my personal heroes. his music inspires my own.

i actually came to the same conclusion about "waiting on the world" after i'd heard it a few times. it's about recognizing powerlessness, but not being complacent in the waiting.

actually, "continuum" is a rather political album in its own little way. i'm very surprised more about that aspect of it hasn't been mentioned. are these magazine reviewers deaf?

i really could go on and on about john mayer. i spent valentines day 2004 with him and a few thousand other people in vancouver. it was the best concert *and* the best valentines day i have ever experienced. :))))

Glad to see you have the appropriate :case of the vapors: reaction to Nine in Suicide Blonde...man, he just makes me tingle all over...and I frickin' wrote him.

Well...truthfully...he writes himself.

Thanks for the feedback.

I knew there was a reason to stay up late.

::heaps you with flowers and chocolates::

I do love it when they write themselves. I haven't quite arrived at that place with The Doctor, but I hope one day....
