Falling inline with the insanity...

Sequence of events...I am depressed about stats for Ichnobate...Green pops online and offers me good cheer...she tells me to go read her first fic...I go...I read...I comment...Green and I exchange a few more chuckles...then Green says, "Oh, Gwen has posted her first fic."...self goes off to read...having read only a few paragraphs...self IMs Green and asserts we must hang Gwen in effigy...Green urges restraint...Rabid agrees we will indeed use restraints on Gwen's effigy for daring to have such a smooth first fic...I eventually control my urges...but only because I have fallen under the spell of Green and Gwen...and now feel compelled to share MY FIRST FIC efforts...despite the fact that I HAVE already shared them at FanFictionNET and nobody felt the least inclined to comment...

However, never let it be said that I am not tenacious...or insane...or tenaciously insane...so...

This was NOT your first fic attempt. Okay, well, maybe it was. But, but... ::whines:: your characterisation was good! And your descriptions were so lavish... No one cried blood tears, you spelled all the characters names correctly... Come on, you can do better (worse) than this! :)

...and while it is my FIRST true fic attempt...I wrote X-Files role playing scenes for several years prior to doing straight fic...and so...there was practicing...and I suppose I have been staging scenes in my mind forever for TV shows, Movies...my own stories...but this was the first time I tried to capture a real scene I was playing out in my mind and write it down for other people to read...and it wasn't until CDN that I actually was able to string scenes together.

So, this counts as first fic I think...first thing available for other people to read that was attempting to capture the characters as they were on the show.

I always love how you handle the Buffy/Spike dialogue. And stealing the dress is so Season 5 Spike. I put mine up this morning, maybe we should announce them all at BoB, and tempt others out of the first fic closet.
