Aww! Monkey! It is so good to see you again. And I very much appreciate your love for my little fix-it fic.
First I love the I&B fic, I love everything you write but this especially heals my heart from the damage caused by End of Time.
It is helping to heal my heart to write it. I have, pretty much, set my chin in a firm line to resist that idea of a Ten2/Rose family that has led to Clara. To me, if she is the great-great-grandaughter from that source, then Ten went into Ten2 at the regeneration. Pure and simple. Because I don't think Rose would have anything to do with him, if she believed the Doctor was still lost. It has also helped me that Eleven was so unlike the Doctor for so many seasons with River and the Ponds. I can easily believe that what we were seeing was some childish version of the Time Lord body and the Doctor's recovered memories.
I am so glad that you've come back to DW and like Clara. She is my third favorite, in New Who, two. I love Donna more, but I do warm to Clara very much.
I haven't seen Journey to the Center of the TARDIS, yet. But I do think that Moff has been influenced by Neil Gaiman...and I think Neil has read Disheveled. The Doctor's Wife is like Disheveled Fanfic...and he even uses Rain on Dust as the code word. How likely is it that he would do that...and have no idea about my story? Not very. My hope is that he read some of my other ideas and realized how easy it would be to solve the whole Rose issue forever.
People always say, oh, it can't happen...Rose would age...the Doctor can't love...settle...whatever. That's all just lack of imagination. Something that Neil doesn't suffer from, at least...so we have a little hope. But Moff is still in charge, so it is only a glimmer. Let's just enjoy the mystery of Clara, I think. And be happy that the show has toned down that over-the-top playhouse vibe. So you and I can stand to watch it again. YAY!
