Fans of SPN and/or Psych know that both shows film in Vancouver. This means there is a fair bit of cast crossover. Specifically, the gentleman who played boss angel, Zachariah, on SPN, a lovely actor named Kurt Fuller, also, plays extremely quirky coroner, Woody on Psych. Perhaps because of that, or perhaps because of a recent guest appearance by Rob Benedict who played Chuck on SPN, Psych just did a very sly shoutout to the Metallicar.

In a recent episode, Autopsy Turvy, which centered around Woody, someone remarks that the dead man was picked up by someone in a black Impala. And Lassiter mutters, "Great! Only the most popular car in America." Later, someone is found dead in a vintage black Impala. Though it wasn't the actual Metallicar, fans of SPN will be aware of the fact that Dean's beloved Impala is missing. I doubt any of us imagined it might be on Psych. I was initially puzzled by the "most popular car" remark, which used to be true, but hasn't been true for a long time. But, watching back and noticing the vintage Impala, I do think this was a sly shout-out to Supernatural's missing Metallicar, which is, arguably, the most popular car in America right now.

Ha! I noticed that, too! It's funny, after all of these years of watching television, I can totally tell which shows are filmed in LA, NYC, Vancouver, or "other". The Vancouver day players pop up on the various shows all the time. Kurt Fuller is awesome. Rather creepy as Woody, but at least his heart's in the right place...kinda. XD

I think for the finale! But I'm not sure. I have definitely missed that car. And, I must say, while I was initially supportive of Sera Gamble as head writer, I am glad to hear she is going. I think she lacks conviction in her story ideas. I mean, the Leviathans were an interesting concept but she is too tentative with them and the show has lost its sense of peril.

I must be behind on the news, I had no clue Sera was leaving! Who will be head writer?

Jeremy Carver! I know that he wrote the Supernatural Christmas episode. And best of all, Mystery Spot, which is my all time favorite episode. It will be nice to get a sense of humor back into the show. Sera's funny episodes flopped, in my less than humble opinion.
