That must be so horrible. Please try not to take any thoughts too seriously that attack you at such times. It is always then that our defences are weakest.
As for the writing...if you were well enough to do all the writing you feel you should be doing, you probably would be well enough not to be retired. So try not to beat yourself up about it. Difficult, I know.
Thanks, Cat! Yes, I should stop beating up on myself. It is a bad habit, and a fruitless one. Instead, I should just focus on what I can do and be happy about those things.
And you are right, my defenses were down due to exhaustion. I don't normally feel so whipped by this stuff. But sleeplessness sucks.
