A MUST READ: Doctor/Rose Fix-It Fic
This is so beautiful and perfect a fix-it that it must be what actually happened.

sensiblecat sent me a recommendation for this fic and I must say that I couldn't have come up with a better solution than this one. I did actually toy with this idea a bit (the linking of the two explosions, I mean) but I don't think I could have executed the idea with such aplomb.
