There is a very sweet person out there in LJ-land

I know her as Mary...though I seldom call her Mary...I call her Kes...and we go...waaaay...waaaay back in cyber-time.

I met her on WeBoB (Which is internet code for "We Band of Buggered"...a now defunct forum for Spike and Buffy fans). And she is the sort of huggable bubble who is always there for her cyber-chums (and real life chums, too)...helping us with vital fundraisers, standing us to virtual beers at the pub and just supporting us through our daily breakdowns. And I'm telling you about her because...she bought me unlimited ICON space...and other cool Paid-LJ geegaws for the next six months. Send me your icons...I can add them to my storage space...and then continue to just...show the one icon because I am one of those inattentive writer-types who can keep the same icon up for months and months.

But that's not my point...

My point is this was a very sweet thing for Kes to do...buy me something for LJ...my home away from home. Especially, when you consider I came very close to buying her a talking Wallace & Gromit Garden Gnome a few months ago. <<--a truly useless gift. Stopped myself in the nick-o-time.

I should really do something nice for her... I should tell the pony story. Who wants to hear the tragic story of my pony (or horse...or goat)? Show of hands?
