You do remember that...don't you?

Uhm...do you remember me?

Okay...just checking!

While I have you all here: Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful to have all of you in my cyber-life!

So, I was over at Whedonesque.com...stoking the flames of my hatred (because I have to CONSTANTLY remind myself of the injustice of cookie-dough Buffy being the final product of a glorious run) and there was this link to a Joss posting: JW breaking the news about Serenity (AKA: The Firefly Movie) being postponed until September.

I didn't want to read his post...but my finger clicked the link before I could process a stern NO...and there he was...the man himself...sans pants...asking personal cube-gleaming questions...and I was like, "Look, buddy! You can't waltz in here and be all charming after the way you treated me. The state of my cube is none of your beeswax. Stop peering at my cube."

I fluffed my skirt and tried to flounce off...but it was kind of like I was one of those women David Fury warned about in his public service announcements. I was mesmerized by the slick banter of a bad, bad man. I know JW will hurt me if I let him back into my life...but I just can't walk away from his nerdish allure. He claims his Firefly script is coherent...and I want to believe him. Yes, I know in my gut...it's a long shot. This is a man who can't stop his own spin. He doesn't know the meaning of the word CLOSURE...let alone the definition of AFTERGLOW.

I know that if JW was scripting a film version of Hamlet the prince would still die but first he would declare his forbidden and long-suppressed love for Rosencrantz (who as it turns out was a little less dead than previously assumed...having only found work playing sidekick number 5 on somebody else's show for a time) and they would dabble their toes into the "happy ever after" pool for about...oh...ten minutes. Then Joss would not only kill Hamlet but go around telling us killing Hamlet at that exact moment was a stroke of genius rather than...say...a hackneyed trick of Elizabethan stagecraft.

But even knowing all that...he made me want to see Serenity. And I probably will see it...unless the trailer blows...or AllyV (who will see the very first showing on the very first night...even if it is at midnight on a weekday) comes online and warns me off (via the foam and spittle of a disillusioned Simon/Kaylee shipper on her lips).
