Half over and I have some comments about things...under the cut

I know Carrie disagrees with me about Katee, but I have to say I did notice in her routine with Courtney EXACTLY what Nigel said. Katee was the better dancer. And Twitch is the better dancer when compared to Joshua. I do think Katee is going to win this thing. I hope Joshua isn't in it at all. I don't like that he lies about his training. I think Courtney and Twitch opened with a great number...and at that moment I was all about voting for Twitch AND Courtney...but seeing her with Katee she was definitely second best.

I am going to vote for Twitch...because I think he would make good use of the opportunities this show has to offer. Nigel, again, points this out. Twitch has star entertainment power. He has a sparkle that comes through the camera lens and connects with a television audience. The other people this season don't really have that connection to the audience. Katee is probably the best technical dancer left in the competition but she not really going to be a star dancer anywhere. Twitch COULD be...if he has the shot at it that headlining this tour and a film might give him.

I actually think he might be entertaining enough to get work even if Joshua or Katee win. Notice...I no longer think it will be Courtney...even though I really thought she hit it very hard with Twitch. I was quite proud of her there.

i have been watching religiously all season long. And have to admit that i am still not over the fact that Will is no longer in the running. He was the most technically trained, charasmatic and humble male in the competition. He was the full package... what happened? Regardless my second favorite dancer is Courtney and this is why. I am aware Katee is the better of the two technically, however, Courtney has far more personality! I also like Joshua because it seemed like he was the underdog- what do you mean he lied about his training? can't wait for tonight!!!

I mean there is no way a hip-hop dancer has that sort of technical extension. Early on the judges commented on the fact that he had to have formal training and that he wasn't a true street dancer. Twitch is a true street dancer. This means when Twitch does a technical move...especially things like toe-point, arm-reach and full leg extensions...he is having to learn on the fly. Trained dancers learn these things at a young age.

Joshua just talked to Cat about his training...and gave us a hint as to why he might have lied about it all. He said, "I had to do chores to take the classes." So, maybe he was just ashamed or didn't consider it training because his family couldn't have paid for the class. And there is Nigel though...making me grind my teeth together by calling Joshua "untrained" when we just saw a photo of him in dance class.

Twitch is an untrained dancer...and we watched him train himself this season...and you can easily see his lack of technical skills in places...the way he is stiff in the shoulders...etc. But I tell you...he's come so very far on his own. It does bug me that they all act like he and Joshua are on the same playing field...because Joshua has training...we saw the photos, even. He just pretends he doesn't...and the judges go on about it like he doesn't have training, too.

And that gets people like yourself to consider him more of an underdog than he really is...he has a hidden advantage.

Yes, we disagree about Katee because I only find her competent and entirely bland, though I have no doubt she was better than Courtney. I like Courtney because she has been the only dancer this season to really show a fire and drive and really attack every variety of dance style; however, she has many flaws as a dancer.

I thought you might be interested in this little tidbit about Joshua. Apparently, he won a full scholarship to Debbie Allen's Summer program for four years.

I'm rooting for Courtney because she has impressed me with her improvement and dedication. Twitch winning would be okay because he is such a great guy and has star quality. If Katee wins she will be the most forgettable winner ever. Joshua winning is a complete scam.

Have you seen the finale? Are you back to the East Coast? I think the girl/girl and guy/guy dances were really telling for these dancers. And the final four number...though it was Mia Michaels and so it was a complete mess...again I agree with Nigel about not understanding WHAT THE HELL? He hasn't really come out and slammed Mia, but twice now he's commented on the mindlessness of her routines. He called this one The Scottish Olympic Tryouts.

And I am totally NOT surprised that Joshua had a scholarship to Debbie Allen's Summer Program. He has too much training to pass himself off as untrained.

And I would be happy if anyone but Joshua wins. But I voted for Twitch. On the other hand...I got through really easily. Too easily. :-)

No, I am still in California. It's being recorded on the Tivo and I may watch it later though I really don't feel like I can be bothered.

However, now the spoilers say Travis was there for the group dance, so I may watch tomorrow. Travis, Ivan and Allison are in my top five favorites.

My attention wandered a bit, but nobody from old school danced as far as I know. Hok was there. I saw him at one time in a shot. I don't recall seeing Travis, but I might have been out of the room or something.

As I said...you will clearly see why I couldn't support Courtney even with the best of intentions toward her, when you watch. She and Joshua were so obviously exhausted by the end that they could hardly move. Courtney did have a bit more of an excuse for her dragging than Joshua did...as she started the show and was still going at the end. He started half-way through. But Twitch started with Courtney...and was easily the most dynamic dancer at the end. Still...it probably is going to Katee or Joshua.
