I wanted to do a Rose/Doctor vid to this song, but I must say this one is so good I am left with nothing much to add. Be prepared to weep your eyes out but enjoy the beauty of it. Beware there is a huge spoiler clip at the very beginning.

Sadly...as I said would happen...nobody cares. This is the hidden ratings slide. People are all..."Oh, I liked the ending...I was happy with it...I can make it work." But...they also quickly find they no longer care what happens to the show. The franchise fades away and the entire time the bosses are going..."What did we do?"

Well...what they did...was they made people really not care anymore. You have to care that the Doctor is all sad and lonely and Rose is heartbroken and Donna is living a life she would never have chosen...or you just find another show to think about. People are going away...and if this is the way the BBC or Moffat or RTD intend to leave things...well...they deserve to have people wander off and find something else to do.

Why do you think they are pointing their specials at bank holiday times? So they can guarantee an audience showing up...because there is nothing else on...and if they can't convince people to watch 2010 in those few episodes...well...then...cancellation is on the way.

You are welcome. Nice comment you left her, too. I'm happy that she has some more hits now. She really deserves it.

Who knew that the man that breathed life into the show, brought an audience it never had, and made a Doctor with more depth, would be the same one to tank the show? I don't think Moffat knows what the hell he's doing afterall. They're going to have to pull some serious rabbits out of their asses if they expect it to survive. No Daleks? No Rose? No Donna? No Martha? I would think common sense would say that this would kill the show. I guess having the Doctor go to Rose is something that has to happen. Otherwise, they've lost everything. I thought you were supposed to know your audience when you write.

Rae...go over there and teach these people how to write. You know all about identifying your audience. ^_^

I guess I'm starting to become a fan of the fans. I've been reading fics and fan comics. (theres one called Torchwood babiez that is too cute)Yes there are people leaving but the ones that are still here are making their own fun. This has helped make it fun again for me too.

Well...that happens...I saw it happen in other fandoms. There are still some people...actually 12 people...in my original XFiles group. And they make their own fun...and enjoy the socializing...but I find it all a bit sad over on their board...because the show used to have so much going for it. And I went to the movie today...and it really was just "shallow" and there were only five people in the theater. That's a bit sad.

Rae
glad you think I can identify my audience. I hope when I am a commercial success I don't start bullshitting myself like so many others have done before me. Odds are I will definitely start kidding myself, though...it happens to us all, apparently.

Don't go into it with that attitude. You actually have a lot going for you. Don't short out so soon.

You're right about the X-files. I think the movie could've been better instead of pointing out that my generation is now the old guard and that we are now our parents. I'll probably move on from DW eventually. Lord knows I bearly have time for most of the fandom. (my therapist thinks I work too much) Still its fun for those moments in the newsroom when I'm sick of murderers and want to escape to the fan-made world of the Doctor and Rose.Yes...I've been re-reading Disheveled.

Is it me or is DT screwing himself by signing on for the Moffat series?I guess there's always Hollywood.

Has he signed on? I heard he gave them his answer...not that said answer was YES! And yes, he would be screwing himself to stay on...he needs to break into film while he is still bankable. Right now, in other words.

I heard he said yes from someone else. Its possible they're going to play with our heads until the Moffat series. I think DT needs to move on while he's still pretty too. Americans would love to have him in their films. He could very well be Oscar material. If he stays away from Moffat the series will seem like an something all on its own. Like that goofy American version of Life on Mars, just someone taking something great and making it...not so great. RTD can have his Doctor-be-happy-with-Rose and Moffat can do his Stephen King thing with his own Doctor.I'd like to think DT is too intellectual to do something so risky to his career, but this is also a man who has farting contest with John Barrowman so who knows?

Yeah...I saw she did this. I figure she is making the best of a bad situation...same as everyone. I love her work. But this is not my thing. I figure DW and I are parting ways for a few years. I am trying to work on Wild Geese 2, but really getting nowhere with it. I recently decided to see if I can take it from where it was left...with the idea that the Doctor DID leave her on the beach for a time.

Will be thinking of you when I write some more of my fic. I think because you'd love the ending. ;) ( yes I know you don't read fics, just thought I'd tell you, I'd be thinking of you)
